Hello CABG

Post by flipnaz17 on Sat Jul 02, 2011 2:18 am

Hello CABG'ers! I'm flipnaz17 and I'm glad that I finally convinced myself to join here. I've been reading this forum for a while but never knew what it looks like from the inside. My MOCs and figs are mediocre now, but I'm willing to take criticism and improve over time. Once I think I actually have a shot I'll apply for guildship. For now I'll just enjoy others' creations Wow this thing looks.

See you all around.

Welcome to the CABG! I see you can take good photographs which is key to help bring out the detail in your models. Good luck, I looked forward to seeing the kinds of things you can build.

Great to see new members! Your builds are off to a great start and in no time will be guild worthy. Your photography is amazing which will be crucial in your guild app. Of course I shouldn't be talking since I haven't finished my application yet. Razz

Thanks for the feedback. I had no idea that sharp photography was that big a deal .

Slow down. Photography can either make or break a model, and it's really something you should look into. For example, take an old build of mine with horrid photography. Not such a large response. Then, take another build of mine where the photograph was the main focus of the picture. Huge response. A clear photo is often appealing to the audience, so I suggest you take your time when doing a photo shoot, as you've been doing.

Anywho, welcome to the Clone Army Builders Guild!

Yes, but Justin, 1600 views and 33 comments is a huge response. Maybe not to you, but to the majority of the Flickr community.

It's true. I have OVER 9000! Views, and I'm not even a very popular builder. Razz

It helps that, once you have some good builds going, put them into a whole bunch of groups, so people view them.

For the record, I've only broken 600 on one picture. 1,600 is a lot to me.

No, no. I mispoke. I understand good photography is important. I'm just surprised it was considered so rare on a site like this.
