Republic Hangar

Post by Knight on Wed Apr 04, 2012 9:38 pm

After 8 months of on and off work I have finally finished my second largest project. The piece count is in the 15,000-20,000 range, and the dimensions are a bit larger than a 96x96 with a height of over 60 bricks. I've had a lot of fun building this MOC and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

You have so many pieces! I really liked this although I would have liked to see another one or two ships or craft for cargo. I mean it's awesome but needs more stuff to fill the space. Also love the gunship, although I don't care for the front. Wink

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the front either. I'm still looking for a better solution, but everything I've tried has ruined another part of the ship.

I love this, the amount of greebles on this thing. The NPU and everything is amazing!

Aww, come on Rook, yours is a massive ship and Knight's is just a big L-shape. Razz

Anyway, this is a great build. The crates are so simple yet maybe my favorite part of the MOC. Smile

Brilliant detail and the gunship is the best one I've EVER seen.
You could as mentioned before just fill up a bit more space. Smile

Love the detailing on the wall, although it is a bit empty. The gunship, Lego should learn from you how to make a propper one.

Absolutely gorgeous.

I for one like the open space ... Republic Ships always felt sparse to me, not overly crowded like the rebel ship...

I think you've done a fantastic job of making a very large flat surface very interesting. I've seen many try to just make it a flat wall - or very little pattern / greeble - you've built a large but very densely detailed wall - really awesome.

Hola Wow!

This is simply amazing. I don't know where to start! I have two complaints though, and one of them has nothing to do with build quality. First, the front of the gunship pointing out looks very awkward. Second, the lettering on the floor should be Aurabesh. Otherwise, this is damned near perfect. Well done, my friend. Well done. Thumbs up
