Hello everyone, I am 864th Legion Customs. I have been interested in LEGO since 2004 and began to build my Star Wars collection in 2007. In 2011, after seeing amazing custom LEGO minifigures I decided to give it a go. I started out poorly, making custom minifigures out of address labels printed with custom designs made in MS Paint, and Sharpie marker. That will change. I have done more research and found out that what you can use is sticker paper. In September 2011 I bought a pack of clear Avery sticker paper. That did not work well, so I did more reasearch and found that the best thing to use is waterslide decal paper (except for printing, which may come in the far future) so in December of 2011, for Christmas, I purchased a set of clear and white waterslide decal paper from decalpaper.com. I tried it out, and it worked out great! So having that figured out, I decided I would look into resin casting my own accessories. I will be using these methods and others to make my custom minifigures. So that's pretty much it. I would prefer if you guys could please comment and give me tips on resin casting and waterslide decaling. Thanks, 864th Legion Customs.

You want tips? Look in the building techniques forum for customs, building, photography, etc. Tutorials. I have personally read most of them 2 times and they are great. Good luck with your customs! Just note you won't be able to post your figures in this forum until guildship which means building.

Welcome!

I don't see any tips for resin casting though.

Eh. Well we got a lot of stuff, but not it all. Sorry I can't help more since I am mainly purist...

I'd ask at a local industrial plastics place if I were you, because most of us here don't do any casting of our own so we can't really help with that. I also can't really make any suggestions for the water-slide decals as well if your not asking for anything specific. But anyways welcome to CABG.
