Nick, good first try however you can vastly improve upon this. Right now it's pretty plain (colorwise) so throw some more colors in there, or if you're trying to stick with the snow make it light bley and white. Boxy! Way boxy, put some angles in there to make it more appealing to the viewer. I liked the idea of the upside down wing pieces, but right now they're pretty distracting. Beef up those side guns a little so we can have some defense for our troopers! Maybe attempt some greebling if you want. Now get to work! Smile

You're showing great improvement. The second one is really nice compared to therest of your work! Lego REvo hit the nail on the head, not much more to add.

Too much colors.
Too blocky.
Too weird.

I advise you read my guide. Roll Eyes

I think it's coming along nicly, though there are a few odd colors here and there. It's getting much more slopey. Try to make things symetrical though, if you have a white engine on one side, have a white engine on the other aswell.

Re: Snow Terrain Gunship

It's not amazing but it does look like ship. Here' my input so far.

Starting from the outside at 9 o'clock going clock wise in a closing spiral: 2 very different gun tips (not a big issue), place wedge on wings to avoid harsh corners (this the main issue with the MOC), 2 types of engines and they are facing two different directions, neon orange when gun tip is blue? (I'd use grey instead of orange), front guns have no coloring but the side ones do? why?, the big chain gun looks weird with bright yellow add some gun tips to draw your eye away from the yellow, and the rest are all very harsh square corners you should use slopes. Overall, think of a fighter jet, not many right angles.

Well said Rook. I like the pilot. Can we see a pic of him outside? Did you use your method for him?

Nice that Pilot looks pretty good! I'd listen to Rooks advice, read DP's guide, and you should have a fairly decent ship there. Wink Blue Arc

Reduce the number of studs by using more slopes and add some greebles. The colour scheme could be improved; instead of going for uniformality, go camoflauge. Put in some light bley and white parts so that it 'blends' with snowy terrain.

They are both a bit blocky but definitely a good start. Smile I think that the second one is better though.
