Lightsaber Duel
Hey guys... Yeah, I'm back for a split second. Figured I'd post this and see if I'd get any more views.
Seriously though, I'd like to know what you guys think.

Whoa 2x! That was a sweet sequence! The movement of the figs was nice and smooth, and the way the figs walked was great as well!
Good job!

Re: Lightsaber Duel
Hahaha the guy getting run through with the lightsaber at the end is a great twist! I was never expecting that!
Re: Lightsaber Duel
Very nice! I like all the yellow, it sort of looks gold... The Force Lightning was epic, I like the change between skeleton and jedi. And the ending was completely unexpected! The only thing I would have changed would be having a different face for the jedi. He just looks too happy to be there.

Yeah, that lightning bit was so epic.
Also, EWOK!

Re: Lightsaber Duel
As a designer I can nitpick at a few things but you know that ending made me forget it all. I laughed so dam hard... I LOVE IT!
I thought it was going to be one of them cliche moves where he gets the saber and protects himself or the sith stops it but that running through was EPIC! (man you kids are giving me a new vocabulary)

That ending is awesome! The animation got a tiny bit choppy in some places, but for the most part, it was very smooth and enjoyable.
Good work!

The choppy areas is what I was going to nitpick about. I like the fact you didn't skimp on the background either. The scenery could be better but it was better then most.
Re: Lightsaber Duel
Awesome job, but do you did you think about giving them capes?

Re: Lightsaber Duel
Great fight scene and love the Sith lighting attack, flashing back and forth to the skeleton minifigure.
Re: Lightsaber Duel
Thanks for all of the great feedback, guys! I honestly thought the ending was going to be the weak point, but you guys seem to like it, so...
I see my random Ewok didn't go unappreciated either.
Thanks again, guys! Hopefully I can start my next film around January...

I agree that it didn't fit, but I have very few fleshy heads to choose from.667thLegion wrote:Very nice! I like all the yellow, it sort of looks gold... I'm glad you liked the ending, 'cause I really thought that was being cliché.eclipsegrafx wrote:As a designer I can nitpick at a few things but you know that ending made me forget it all. I laughed so dam hard... I LOVE IT!

Thanks; I spent a couple of days finalizing the background before I filmed, and even then I didn't think it was the best (but I figured it wasn't going to be the focus, so I just went with what I had). The choppy areas is what I was going to nitpick about. Briefly, but it would have mostly blocked the view of the sabers and gotten in the way of the actual moves.Alpha Beta wrote:Awesome job, but do you did you think about giving them capes?

I love all the small details; like when the jedi gets thrown to the ground.

Running was a bit choppy, but otherwise this turned out very well! Good to see you post another vid here!
Re: Lightsaber Duel
Frankly, i liked the ending of that brick film. It had a great twist at the end and makes you think what will happen next. And i like the ewok :3
