Jetpack and Brick-Rifle
Face it; we all want cool jetpacks and blasters. Well I've made both. They're used on my Recon Trooper, but I have several more of the Blaster rifles:
First off, the Jetpack. The jetpack is a pretty cool thing. It's got a main section, two thrust nozzels, and a rocket launcher cone thingy on top. Like Jango Fett's jetpack, but a bit bigger and not with the cool helmet:
And it's got Rocket-firing action, the rocket slips right out of the holder:
I'm guessing after looking at the yummy pictures of the jetpack that you want to make it. Well, good. Because that's why I took breakdown pictures:
More breakdown pictures:
You're probably guessing that there is some modifying going on here. Well there is. Go get yourself all the pieces, including a black goblet. Now, very carefully, take your preffered cutting tool and remove the base of the goblet from the stem of the goblet. The base will be used as the bottom of the jetpack, the stem and cup will be used as the rocket holder.
Now for the blaster:
It's the DC-16 Rifle, my own creation. It's scope can swivel up and all around. Breakdown:
Both of them together:
And the whole gallery.
Comments welcome, please try these. Be careful with your knife! Use a pocketknife and it's small blade, that works best!!!

I like the jet-pack a lot. I wish I had the peg cap for my minifigs...

Well, there is a piece that fits on the minifigs neck and has a stud on the back that the jetpack attaches to.

I see
I think I know what you did, you put the brick on it's side and put the bottom part of the goblet on the stud so that the hole where other bricks can go in is connected the the thing you put on the minifigures neck. Do you get hat I'm saying?

Hey CC007, instead of using the flashlight handle looking things, I used the guns that the jawas use and put a red light on the bottom and instead of turning like the smaller things do they stay in place.

Ooh lala me like. I love the jetpack but is the goblet type piece non-purist. It looks as though the bottom part was cutoff.

Yes it was cutoff, however it didn't have to be, the whole peice would've worked, it just would be taller...

EDIT: Just wondering what coloured trans pieces did you use? its hard to tell because of the light.
