This seems like a WIP (work in progress) so I moved it.
PS: Start with something simple. Blow up a ship. Or mini battle 2-4 minifigs fighting.
Re: Looking for new Lego Clone Wars movie ideas.
Rook is right, that is the simple thing to do. My first scene was a SBD shooting a clone. It was pathetic. Now wait until you see this one I am about to post, it will blow you away .

Stop motion, huh?
Well, I'm no expert, but from what I know, this is going to take a long time, even for a minute long movie. If you're after the 'professional' look, try to fit in around 15-20 frames a second. For quicker shots, you can go with 5-10 frames a second.

I use 30 frames a second, it gives you a LOT of opportunity for detailed movement, but it takes a long time to make the fig go anywhere. I use a program called Stop Moton Animator which Maggosh introduced me too, it works AMAZINGLY.

Yes, 30 frames per second would work more than well, but since nick is no expert at this stuff, maybe he could start small?

I've always been big, my first film had about 30 minifigs fighting
Re: Looking for new Lego Clone Wars movie ideas.
30 fps?? No, no, start at 15 and work your way up. And, some advice when filming:
-Tape down your set to avoid set bumps.
-Keep your set well lit to avoid light flicker.
-Get a camera with manual focus.

I have made some practice movies before, but the suck a lot! The camera kept wobbling and it looks like the set or Cloverfield moved into my movie set.
