Shock Troopers in retreat; a beach/forest hybrid MOC
A Shock Trooper squad is called back to base while under attack by several droids in the water; they retreat into the trees.

Looks okay...The tan and dark tan should be mixing as should the rest because the ground is very squared.

Um... What Jens said. Also, shouldn't the darker sand be closest to the water? Definitely need to improve the landscaping in this one.

I saw this on Flickr! great MOC, too!
But, tell me, where do you get all of your tree parts?

A nice MOC! The blaster bolts are excellently designed.

Re: Shock Troopers in retreat; a beach/forest hybrid MOC
Actually were I to do that I'd need dark tan in two places. The reason it's darker over there is because it's more soil-enriched. But I must admit that this was a very early MOC of mine that only now, having scoured my two Lego MOC DVDs for stuff to jam into January's Flickr allowance, I posted.
I may revisit the concept if I ever find my tree leaves again.
@ Rob: I got the Jungle Cutter, duh, as well as the Temple of Akator(and the other two ), which provided me with dark green leaves aplenty. I made the trees by taking the relatively tall Jungle Cutter tree trunks and making more smaller ones.
EDIT: @ Muskey: Thanks; I might add that the fiery one is an Anti-armor round firing, and the beaming one is a Z-6 Rotary.

80-0@ Oh. I have the jungle cutter, I love the dark green leaves... I need to dig up more money for parts like those...
Also, I find that the dark tan fits in rather well, in my opinion. Maybe it can be used for old sand?

I like how you did the forest and the weapon effects. Very nice!
Re: Shock Troopers in retreat; a beach/forest hybrid MOC
I like the trees but the water and sand could be worked on.

Very nice, 80-0! It really gives it the beach effect! But get rid of the sand red droid with the tan head, it looks ugly.

That's a droid Engineer; note the shotgun and the backpack clip.
