815th vs 44th - Corps Challenge POLL

The Guidelines

1. Build a Republic Speeder Bike. The GAR is in dire need of new designs.
2. It has to have atleast 1 Clone Trooper or Jedi General or Clone Commander.
3. Entries may be entered on October the 21st to November the 21st.
4. Will be closed on November 21st at 12:00 AM GMT -8:00, after which the polls will be up.
5. The contestants are The Jinja Ninja, Alpha, Jedi Joe, major reviss, Commander N09, Sialboats, J4ke, and Mike888 only. No one else may enter, as this is between the 815th Tactical Assault Corps and the 44th Destroyer Corps.
6. Have fun, and may the best Corps win!

If needed, a MOD/ADMIN may delete.

Well, it doesn't have to be a surprise I guess. There aren't any guidelines for Challenges. I just think it's a lot cooler when a corps is caught off guard by a challenge.

The TZ-112 Main Battle Speeder was one of the experimental concepts that actually worked. When Colonel Turaki Kaeir of the 541st Legion saw a demonstration of the speeder bike during war games prior to Geonosis, he "... had to have that. I don't care how many toes I step on...I'm getting that...procured."

The MBS was pretty much just that. A heavily armed and armored combat bike. The pilot has control over the movement of the vehicle, with top speeds of 130 KPH, as well as two link-fired .50 caliber laser cannons. The gunner has at his disposal a larger and far more potent cannon, firing solid explosive slugs over energy-based projectiles. Furthermore, the vehicle has a concealed bay of laser cannons beneath the mainframe. When the bike is at high altitudes, the gunner can access the integrated targeting system and fire down upon enemy troops.

While still maintaining relatively high speeds, it is impervious to small arms fire. It can also take several larger bolts, ranging from light arty to tank rounds.

The 541st uses these extensively. They're mostly sent en-masse up against Separatist armored columns, a strafing run, in a attempt to confuse and damage the tanks before the TX-130/c MBTs are about to engage them. The pilot will come in close, go for the main body of the enemy tank, it's gun, or the treads on a CG armored vehicle. The rear gunner will then lay in a few rounds on the selected portion, intensifying the damage. They are also known to provide light armored support to infantry squads, packing nearly as much firepower as a APC.

The C4 Recon Assault Speeder was manufactured by Rothana Heavy Engineering for the 704th. As it's predecessor, the Z-34, the C4 had Heavy Infantry Pulse Lasers. It had a sensor jammer, that could fool enemy Battle Droids into attacking any unaffected droids. There was also a Trandics Radar, which could pick up signals and send them to the pilot's HUD. The C4 was extremely useful, and abandoned units were scavenged and customized by Bounty Hunters and mercenaries.

Known Tactical Strategies

Dorn Assault Run

Four C4's charge straight at target, two flanking on each side. The four C4s move to side, the 2 C4s flanking get a shot at target. The four C4s come back and attack target from behind.

Reshkeyr Destruction Run

Five to seven C4s attack target headon, swerve to side, and attack from back.

Mareks Special Maneuver

Five to ten C4s fly around target, confusing target. Two C4s attack targer while distracted.

A quick little build, this is a prototype Republic speederbike, hence the rather muted colours in contrast to my preferred red. Modelled by a brightly suited test pilot, this speeder has four high-powered engines and is armed with two blaster cannons under the rear fins.

Wow, four entries already! I like the way this is turning out. Alpha, I like the idea for the handlebars on your bike!

Should I shorten the deadline to November 7th? I think 1 month is too long for a simple speeder, how about half a month?
