Swoosh/Vroom Factors
Hiya everyone, theres a little thing with LEGO that some of you may know about called the Swoosh/Vroom factors.
If something is 'Swooshable' you can fly it around the room making swooshing noises. If something 'Vroomable' factor you drive your moc around on the ground making car noises. Whenever I usually make mocs I make it so it can be Swooshable or Vroomable, just a thought.

Basically it means the model looks good from all angles, and is important to factor into your MOCs.

Also there's a little thing I like to call the BOOM factor... heh heh. When I was much younger before disassembling a ship, I would test how well it crashed into the carpet haha. You can swoosh it around, make the vroom noises, (simulating the ship getting hit then crashing) then you toss it up in the air or throw it down to the ground and watch it go boom. Simulating the figure(s) of the ship survived the crash, you may lead them on through the harsh pretend world, marooned by the remnants of their old ship- this part is optional

You were a strange little kid. Just Kidding, I never did that though, (intentionally that is...) I was worried the parts would get damaged from the impact.

Re: Swoosh/Vroom Factors
Originally I was as well, but I found strangely that my shag carpet softened the impact so no pieces were dented... although I think a few were lost haha. My favorite ship to do this with was the old naboo fighter, it was so big, elegant, and perfect for crashing. Also yes, I am aware that this is very odd looking back upon, but admit it, if you could do it with no reprocusions (sp) it would be awesome.

Pffft. I still do it, throw the ship and boom.

Re: Swoosh/Vroom Factors
My dropping ship and going Boom was the MTT. I dropped it from various heights, going all the way to standing on my tippe toes with it raised above my head before relizing how stupid that was.

I did the same thing with my first MTT when i was little . Right after i finished building it, the doors on the sides started falling off, so i picked it up and chucked it at the table XD .(i still hate myself for doing that)

Re: Swoosh/Vroom Factors
Well there are some things I make that are designed for 'Crashability'. Like many of my police vehicles, I like to swoosh or vroom them and then let go and crash them.
Here are the requirements for Crashability:
1. Must stay in one piece unless crashed.
2. When crashed, should only break into 2 or 3 main pieces.
3. When crashed, it should be easy to snap back together to crash again, time: 5 seconds
4. Should not break into more than 4 - 5 parts, otherwise it does not have good crashability.
Making crashable stuff is fun, as is crashing it!

LEGO's racers that "crashed" when you hit stuff with them kinda followed that same rule CC.

If it is the new MTT then you are the craziest woman I have ever talked to! If you dropped the old one it would be okay.

Re: Swoosh/Vroom Factors
It was the new one. The reason I did it was to test the strength. Did I mention that was my fovorite set?
Fun Stories of my lego meeting it's doom:
1) My "Clone Turbo Tank" was stepped on twice. The second time it became the Iron Condor: https://cabg.forumotion.com/clone-army-creations-f4/iron-condor-t89.htm
2) My mellnium Falcon was turned into "soup" by one of my young sister's friends. I rebuilt it, but the joints have been really really really weak ever sense.

When I was young I threw my Sith Infiltrator down the stairs, (20 of them) and i never saw it built again .

Why would you ever make lego soup Zeph!?!
The old MTT's are fetching a lot these days, but I don't see why you would ever want one, the new version is 1000 times better than the old.
No-Name you had 20 sith infiltrators?! Or you just threw it 20 times?

I think he means down 20 stairs.

Oops. Yep, that's what he meant.
Fun, yay!
Everytime I am tired with one of my rubbish homemade gunships that are no good, I always pack it with clones and then chuck it across the room, saying things like "This is your pilot! We are going to crash! Everyone hang on!" Another thing I go is that I attach it to a lego skateboard and roll it into a wall. Fun fun fun (for me at least).
