Yoda - A Tribute
This is my entry for the Epic Scenes contest on Eurobricks - a tribute to the little green jedi master! It showcases some of his greatest moments throughout the saga!
Attack of the Clones: Yoda VS. Dooku - Master Yoda confronts Count Dooku after the Battle of Geonosis while the wounded Anakin and Obi Wan helplessly watch. Next to them is a pillar which Dooku will soon use to attempt to crush them.
Clone Wars: Battle of Ilum - Yoda takes out some chameleon droids which have been sent to destroy the crystal caves.
Revenge of the Sith: Yoda VS. Darth Sidious - Yoda faces the new emperor, Palpatine.
"Now you shall experience the full power of the Dark Side! Hehehe!"
The Empire Strikes Back: Training Luke - The self-exiled Jedi master has decided to train Luke Skywalker, the galaxy's only hope, in the ways of the Force.
"Concentrate!"
Some more views:
Click here to see my reference pics, and you can find more pics in my flickr.
Note how "Yoda" can be read correctly from both sides! Also note the Initials at the bottom indicating which film/series each vignette is from!
I hope you like it and would love to hear your comments on it!
May the force be with you - Always!

Wow, each of these quarters are really good, the only thing they're missing is some greebling on the floor, otherwise it would have been perfect!
Re: Yoda - A Tribute
Saw this earlier today and commented on it. Really nice entry and tribute to Yoda Oky! Best of luck in the contest.
My favorite scene by far is the Senate chamber with the hover-disks in forced perspective.

I agree with Revo, the Senate Chamber is superb, and this 100% awesome!legorevolution wrote:Saw this earlier today and commented on it. Really nice entry and tribute to Yoda Oky! Best of luck in the contest.

I really like the chameleon droids too, very nice to see considering they're not very popular.
Re: Yoda - A Tribute
The fight with Dooku is my favorite 'cause he's standing on the wall! BTW how did you attach him to Luke's foot?

In the final picture you can see it's one of those ever-elusive side-mounted bricks. You can see Oky has placed a stud on it... were it any other minifigure he wouldn't have needed the stud, though he would've been limited to four directions for the figure to face, but since it's Yoda and Yoda's legs don't move, he needed a stud because when you use that sort of side-mounted brick in a wall like that, the stud is slightly inside the wall.
I really like this MOC; particularly the Ilum scene with the Chameleon droids, and Yoda in brown robes. The duel with Dooku is also well-done, with the pillar and everything!

Re: Yoda - A Tribute
WOW! This is brilliant Oky! It is nice to see some chameleon droids as I don't think anyone has done them before.Correct me if I am wrong. As Revo said, the senate chamber is the best because that duel was superbly built but the Yoda Dooku duel was brilliantly built and pulled off aswell. Nice job!

Agreed, a little greebling will go a long way.

Re: Yoda - A Tribute
This is good however, knowing me, I have to make my little nitpicks.
All in all, this is a nice tribute, well done!
- The studs. All of them make it look...awkward. Try either SNOT or studlessness.
- The battle of Ilum. You should add something to the walls (f.e. battle damage, burn scalds, holes, etc.).
- Add more vines and such on the Dagobah vig part.
- Don't make Obi-Wan and Anakin right next to each other on the AotC vig part.
- Add some lightning to the RotS vig part coming from Palpatine's hand(either use blue fire or the new lightning piece from the Death Star/Castle sets).
All in all, this is a nice tribute, well done!

Nice little MOC, I like the design of your chameleon droids, very accurate to the real thing.

Re: Yoda - A Tribute
The only problem is that Palpatine's face is flesh skin, make it the original evil grey face!

Re: Yoda - A Tribute
I disagree, it's perfect for that scene. All four parts ate great, it's a great example of an amazing SW creation, I just had to frontpage it!
Re: Yoda - A Tribute
My favorite is the AotC bit. Wonderful idea, and very well executed! Good luck in the contest!

Re: Yoda - A Tribute
I'm really loving all of these except the battle of Ilum one. The droids are good, but it's so plain.
Re: Yoda - A Tribute
I love how you used the clone yoda for the clone wars scenes and the regular yoda for the other 2 scenes.
I am sorry I didn't comment sooner but this thing looks great! Awesome job. Lets see more!
