My First Hardsuit
When the Guild Build-Off first began I started it off by challenging Commander Faie to build a Hardsuit/Mech/Robot. This is my entry for our duel.
This was my first attempt at a Hardsuit, and disregard the photography. I was rushed to take these. Another thing is, that I used a white light bulb instead of m normal yellow one.
More pictures here! PLease check them out!

The arms look a little shrimpy, and where is its gun? Otherwise, nice job, and nice techniques.

Re: My First Hardsuit
Like the legs, pretty good for a first, arms are kinda puny compared to the legs.

Re: My First Hardsuit
I think it's great, I especially like the chestplate design. But, like other people have said, the arms need to be longer and it could use a gun.

Re: My First Hardsuit
I didn't give it a gun, because well I kind fo forgot about it.
Ounce i finished the thing I moved on to a large mech. I guess I can find something to give it. I'll try and update it tomorrow. As for the arms, I didn't really notice that, and it may be partly from the angle of the photo, but I do kind of agree. Although I don't think I will change them.
Thanks!

Re: My First Hardsuit
I like the use of engines for feet but the knee connections there look a bit weak.
Re: My First Hardsuit
I see so many connections in there that have not seen before it is making me dry-heave. I think it could use a weapon of some sort but other then that its brilliant.

I like it, especially the knees and feet.

Re: My First Hardsuit
The legs are really well done! But the arms need more of a "bendy" feel to them
Re: My First Hardsuit
Actually, that is quite strong. The real annoying connection is the legs-torso connection. I used to minifig hands to attach to this It fell og so much, that while I was building the torso and arms I could not have the legs on. And I have used that engine piece dozens of times. It can be used for quite a bitTroopa Daisy wrote:I like the use of engines for feet but the knee connections there look a bit weak.
Yea, after studing Tac's, Ironsniper's, and w/e is in the Hardsuit and Mecha Flickr group, I realised that many standard connections will look too bulky and generally weird. Most or all the connecting joints are probably illegal.I see so many connections in there that have not seen before it is making me dry-heave. Razz I think it could use a weapon of some sort but other then that its brilliant.
And, ounce again thanks! This is IMO the best MOC I have made so far and I plan on making my Mech WIP even better.

I like how you used the minifig legs in the legs!

Re: My First Hardsuit
This is a really nice hardsuit. As Darman said, the legs are really originally and look nice.

Re: My First Hardsuit
The piece usage reminds me of pyre-fyre. Overall a nice hardsuit for a first attempt, much better than most first trys. All it needs is a killer gun!
