Scorpion Fighter (Zodiac MOCer)

One of the Republic Army's first prototypes from Slayn & Korpil Manufacturers. First named the Scorpion Fighter for it's heavy firepower tail side. This ship, after a half dozen modifications, became the one of the largest and most heavily armed star fighters/bombers in the Rebel Alliance's fleet, the B-Wing.

The prototype version included a detectable air speeder from the rest of the fighter (mainly the hyper drive section), however later models included a more compact hyper drive system allowing the main tail wing of the fighter to be slimmed down. The aggressive gasping clamps were modified into folding wings giving the ship more response and stability in atmospheric conditions.

I'm not a big fan of this, there way too much sticking out everywhere that it doesn't look like a Republic ship at all. Maybe some alien-manufactured CIS ship though.

WTF Rook. This is better then the rest of your builds? You can do better then this. Start over, rebuild.

Yeah don't like that much. I think I've hit a wall on the scorpion. I want it to look more like a ship not a flying scorpion. But maybe I should go the other way.

I'm sorry but it looks kind of incomplete. I can see technic holes which would look better if covered and the studs in front of the cockpit canopy which should be covered with a 1 x 2 tile.

It all together is lacking something but in the individual parts they look great. When you have each segment broken down they look complete.

Yeah it was adventure away from my usual style that didn’t work. Tried using more Chrome and Bionicle pieces then I usually do. Looks more like a hot mess. I like the speeder part though.

A total epic fail.

I really want you to rebuild it.

I LIke the speeder and the ramming part (looks like 2 fists) looks like a good main part of some kind of juggernaut ship.

Agreed, the cockpit piece looks very nice on it's own!

Trying differant building styles is good though, otherwise you can't grow as a builder.

Overall not your best work, but a good experiment.

I think what makes it bad as a whole as Eclipse has said, is that some of the big pieces really take away all the flow in this moc. But on their individual parts that you take off they look good. So I would stop worrying about that little feature, but more on the actual ship as a whole.
