A Warning About Multiple Accounts

Staff Hard at Work Ar128526385692684

Every once in while I do this. Not to put someone down in this case but as a firm reminder that theCABG.net does cater to a specific crowd. We expect people to actually read and follow it's rules, if you want to be here.

PM set to ADMIN Rook this week on a different site:

Upset User A wrote:Hey douchbag how are you doing, I see you just banned me from the CABG. Oh well, time to start letting the CABGs rep down. Just an FYI.

To which I replied as kindly as possible:

Rook wrote:First off I put a ban on the "Upset User B" (activation date) account. Not the "Upset User A" (activation date) account.

Spoiler:

In you're "Upset User B" account you state yourself:

"A friend's previous (now inactive) account."

The fact that you contacted me via your "Upset User A" account here (other forum) proves, that is a lie at several levels. "Upset User A" is you and the account is not inactive.

Clearly you never read this:

Staff Hard at Work Untitl24

Nor did you read this:

Staff Hard at Work Untitl25

And finally right the start there's a big warning right in the sites rules:

Staff Hard at Work Untitl26

So ask yourself the following questions, and rather than lying to yourself answer them truthfully.

1. Why did you create multiple accounts?
2. Why didn't you use the "forgot password" option?
3. Why do you feel that a site that has been running smoothly for 4 years with over 2000 users should change it's rules because, the person (you) that broke the clearly posted rules thinks the site's rules are "wrong"?
4. Do you think it's ok to call an ADMIN a "douche bag" for doing their job? I'm guessing you might not actually know the real meaning of the word? Not that I mind being called a part of instrument to cleanse the holiest of holies. However it's rude without reason. You could have simply said "Hey why did you ban me?"
5. And finally why would the ADMIN ban your second account only and not first?

So in conclusion take your fly off the handle attitude and comments, and rethink it. It will not help you in life. If you don't like theCABG.net that's fine, it's not designed for everyone. You may continue to use the first account you created. Or upon creating your second account (in this case maybe third or more) contact an ADMIN and notify them of your account multiple account issues, and ask for the prior accounts to be locked or deleted. Rather than fabricating a lie and posting it in your new profile to cover your @$$ for forgetting a password or for not knowing how to use the "forgot password" button.

So to the rest of theCABG.net users. Remember follow the rules, and if you mess something up just contact staff and let them fix it for you, rather than lying. Wink

Yeah just bothered me that they had/have a working account that had been used within a month or two. And rather than using the "forgot password" button they chose to make new account. And then not reporting needing to make a second account because they couldn't figure out how to get into their old one. So I thought this was a good to time to remind new users and perspective users that they must read the rules prior to registering and then follow them. Thumbs up

I agree with you Rook, there was no need for him to make a second account just because he " forgot his password".

Lol I loved the instrument part! Ya won't be making another account any time soon so don't worry about that for me! I understand why people create duplicate accounts, but why not read the rules? Sheesh! 5 minutes at most!

I remember when I applied just for the forum entry that I memorized the guild constitution and rules like the back of my hand.
