Puke!
Ah! Non-Lego!
Dirty, dirty, dirty words!
Dirty, dirty, dirty words!
Wow I had always heard how bad non-Lego products were. I actually got a good taste of some non-Lego products this weekend at a friend’s house. I'm pretty surprised people actually spend money on it. The quality of the products was incredibly shocking.
My friend’s son was bored, his two older brothers had taken off on dates for the night, and the wives were busy chatting about wifey things. So I told their youngest son to pull out his “Lego”. I was shocked by his collection of Best Lock, Mega Bloks, K'NEX, Kre-O, NanoBlock, etc. All in all he had a large box of “Lego” according to his mom, but upon inspecting his fine collection almost nothing fit together. He about 4-5 minifigures in each type and he didn’t even know that some of their pieces didn’t fit together. That’s how little he played with his “Lego”. I sat with him for about 45 minutes and put together 3 little small things to encourage him (a mix of Lego and MegaCrap). But all I kept thinking was, “Take all the this awesome ‘Lego’ and through it away! NOW!” I could buy him 4 blue boxes and 4 new sets and he’d have a bigger and better collection than he had before. Well he’s 10 years old, almost 11, so another year or two and he’ll be loosing interest probably for sure even though it looked like he already had. The bricks that he had were poorly cared for and showed heavy signs of damage. A classic case of parents not understanding quality and not teaching their kids to hold out for a product that was worth while.
I'm glad I was raised on the breast milk known as Lego®.

Lol, really?
This sentence has no meaning. It is a filler for the five-word limit.

Yeah well ya don't need that second sentence since that rule was repealed a few months ago.

Re: Puke!
I would assume people buy it because it's cheap. I could have bought 4 Police Stations (about half the size of the Lego one) of that stuff for the price of a single Star Wars battlepack. That was a clearance sale, but I'm sure you get my drift.
Re: Puke!
Yeah I don't get personally. It's like that with clothes though too for a lot of people. They'll spend $10 on a t-shirt that last one summer. But they won't spend $35 on a shirt that will last 5 years. Or $60 on a shirt that will last 10 years.

And my new signature was born. Any way, yeah I had a Mega Blocks kit when I was younger (7 years old) but Lego is where the quality and creativity is.
Re: Puke!
One of my first memories was building with my dad's old legos. As for other non-lego stuff, I had a bit of K-nex when I was young.
Re: Puke!
Well, I like Kyotee, played with my dad's legos which also had some glass mixed up with it... Yeah...
Re: Puke!
I had Lego City when I was little then I stopped building with Legos untill 2008 when I finally saw the Star Wars movies.

I remember the video. Will it blend? Yes it will. Now before, during, and after the video I was yelling in my head BURN the Mega-Blah-cks!
Speaking of these I found a MegaBlok in my black bricks today. First thought- burn it. Next- Nah to much time *chunks it at the wall. I can't stand those things jumping in when sorting!

Well spoken, my friend. All of those fake brands can go f......
