The First of my Metal Gear Minifigs: The Fury

The Fury was a former Soviet Cosmonaut. After World War II, when the Cobra unit was dismantled, he returned to Russia. There, he was sent into outer space on a Cosmonaut flight where an accident occurred. Upon his re-entering the Earth's atmosphere, he suffered severe burns all over his body, which left him unable to feel any pain. While he was being burned, he saw the Earth obscured by the wall of fire. That caused him to be obsessed with a vision of the Earth in flames, as well as his development of pyromaniac tendencies. It is unknown what his special skill was during his time with the Cobra Unit in WWII, however it can be assumed that even pre-accident, his special skill was wielding flamethrowers.

As with the rest of the Cobra Unit, his codename reflects the specific emotion he portrays while on the battlefield. He feels unrelenting fury towards the world and everything else while he is fighting.

He wore a fireproof Soviet space suit, equipped with a jetpack and wielded a powerful flamethrower. Unlike most flamethrowers, his used liquid rocket fuel that continued to burn long after it had been set ablaze.


The markings on his helmet are hand painted.


I like how the tube feed for the flamethrower turned out.

WOW he looks great! Although I'm not familier with the story, he looks very accurate.

Like ABL said I don't know about the story. But I do know one thing, that minifigure is AWESOME! I really like the flamethrower.

I'm not familiar with the story either, but I'm digging the all black. The flamethrower is intense as well. It is also a very good design. Jeez! I leave CABG for a day and log back on and look, so many good designs and new posts! Good work

Nice work. I played through this game, and this figure is very accurate to him. I would recommend doing the Pain, and then the End.
