Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
Named becasue it is in effect a giant mobile hanger, this Star Dreadnought can open and close most of its underside of the ship to release thousands of fighters, shuttles and support ships therein. It also has artificial gravity generators, similar to those of the Interdictor or Immobiliser classes, to prevent any ships from crashing into it, given the enourmous potential volume of ships that could be nearby.
All comments are welcomed!
Mouth/hangar closed:
3/4 |Front | Side | Side | Command bridge
Mouth/hangar open:
Side | Underside (my favourite shot) | Rear 3/4
And that's today's MOC! :D

Re: Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
I saw this ship on flikr, it's very well-done! It reminds me of the Sith-era Interdictor Battleships.

I completely love all the pieces you used to place other pieces differently! It's good to have someone with good spelling and grammar and someone so creative!

Thanks guys, and I couldn't see it at first but you're kind of right about the pig-headesque shape...

Re: Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
All I have to say is very nice, and could you post of picture of your idea on building this Moc?
Re: Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
My inspiration was partly from the Eclipse Super Star Destroyer, (The shape of the nose) but mainly it was an excercise in using travis bricks to create 90 degree angles. The whole flying hangar idea came when I realised I'd created a rather strange shape but no bottom, so I had to cloe the gap somehow, as it were...
Re: Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
I like the idea of a huge starfighter carrier. Though there have always been cannon star destroyers that could carry ships, there are none that were dedicated to it.

Re: Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
Wow, this is really great! It shows you that you really don't need lots of SNOT/studlessness to make a good mini Star Destroyer.
Plus, I like how it likens to a smaller version of the Eclipse and the hangar idea and its class and the idea behind the class are simply genius!
1 thing, though. It looks more like an alligator to me. Just throw on some teeth on the hangar door.

Re: Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
I never even knew this type of destroyer existed! The backstory is awesome, and the gravity generators are intense. The angles and set up of this moc is my favorite out of all of yours so far Jake. I'd love to see some more interior shots.
Re: Mini Disgorger Star Destroyer
Looks awesome; it's surprising what one can do with a bunch of plates.

Because it's up to you to figure out how it's done. You learn from experience, and you gain experience by learning.
One hint: right angles with Travis Bricks.

Sweet Ship! I love the engines on the back, and the bridge. But those binoculars on the front don't fit. great job on the "mouth".
