50s' Batmobile
I'm using Lego Digital Designer to make the Batmobile for a Batman contest in the Magazine that could end me up in winning an X-Box 360(which would change my life of not using platforms, plus I'd be able to play The Complete Saga and The Force Unleashed! ), the Lego Batman game(if I win in ANY of the places I'll get that no matter what ), or a Lego sets prize package and we all know what that is. I want it to look like the original 50s' version from the Animated series, but I need a reference pic.
If anyone wants to enter the club code is BATCONTEST in case you don't have the magazine and you want the form in printable format.
I really want to win this contest so I can:
A. Not have to worry my dad with paying for the Batman game.
B. Have a nice next-gen console.
C. Win a Lego contest for the first time EVER!
P.S. And just for the record, if this turns out good enough I'll order it and build it and then take pics so I can send it to Lego, so I have to do a lot before I can get anywhere with this. Plus, I have 'till November 1st to SEND PICS.
P.P.S. Maybe I can send pics of the LDD model?
P.P.P.S. Who knows how to rotate pieces in LDD?

Re: 50s' Batmobile
OK, sorry for the double post(it's been long enough, thought, right?), but I finished the Batmobile in about a half hour to 45 minutes. I think it looks OK. The front looks a lot like the one from the Animated Series and the back is kinda like it. I'm gonna send it in ASAP...

Lol, I just KEEP on doing that!
Anyways, I'm downloading pics off my camera for that and two other recent MOCs.
My main gripe is that it isn't wide enough, but I'll let you decide.

Cool good luck 80-Oh. I wish I had an X-Box too but PS3 will do for now Update us with pics asap I'm a little excited to see it
Re: 50s' Batmobile
I'll probably have them later today; I keep modifying it... I think there's one last thing I want to put on then I'll be fully satisfied but I'll resize the current pics anyway.
Well lucky me.
Here are some pics of version 3.0. Two things I changed in version 4.0 are that I replaced the red lightsaber blades above the cockpit with 'bat ears' and I raised the windshield so it's more level with the hood.
(nifty way to use that pursuit monitor from the Agents car set, and the cockpit is VERY roomy)
Side detail.
The booster engine which converts to a missile launcher.
The launcher deployed. The ends of the missiles tuck quite nicely inside the vehicle.
And this next pic is of my other two MOCs. One(left) is a hideout for some Dark Jedi and a semi-undead Sith Lord I made and their two droids. Once I get more pics you'll see all fourof the force users who reside there. The other(right) is a Seperatist artillery piece. As you can see it has a main cannon in the front and two simple engines.

Thanks! I also added two little 'Uzis'(obviously they aren't Uzis in this case ) right behind the rear tires. I think Batman had something like that...
My dad is going to Staples today and he said he'd get some glossy paper as TLC only accepts glossy printouts or photos, and as I'm using a digital camera, I'd need to use the former.

Re: 50s' Batmobile
The Batmobile is a smooth design but I'm still feelin the need of fins on the back and the front possibly. Also put in some tail lights? I like the booster engines that double as flick-fires- that was a creative design.
Re: 50s' Batmobile
Actually, I added two little 'bat-ears' up where the red lightsaber blades are. I just have to resize them; THOSE are the pics I'm gonna print out.

Re: 50s' Batmobile
You should do something to the front...All the studlessness makes it look bland..May some greebles or slopes or something...other wise good!

Just out of curiosity, do you actually know which version of the Batmobile I'm making with this MOC?
I may update the sides so they're a little more smooth but other than that it pretty much matches it, IMHO.

Re: 50s' Batmobile
Just bumping this thread to tell you all that I entered it in the Batman Building Contest and I got a receipt of the entry, so on December 22nd it'll be known on Lego.com if I won, and if I do it'll be in the next magazine.

Good luck! Man I wish I could receive my magazine, I've applied 3 times already but still, I don't get any issues.

And Endwar! And Endwar! And Endwar!
You better win that contest just for that reason, if not your very nice MOC! I really do like the sleekness of it!
