Special Effects

Hi everyone it's me again.
I am guessing this is the right forum.
Anyway....here are some special effects that I did in the GIMP.


So the GIMP is a free program that some compare to Photoshop. It can do alot, Lighsabers, force lighting, gunfire, holograms, force ghosts.....

Gimp is epic. I use it for all my editing and captions.

Dude, I need help with the hologram effect! Please! And cloning, whenever I try to color, the base clone place moves, so it changes! HELP!

I have GIMP but I have no clue how to do any of this stuff. I'll look through the tutorials later though.

So here's my tutorial on how to make a hologram.
Select the Paths tool and encompass your object.
After you've selected it press Shift+V
Go to Colors->Desaturate->OK
Go to Colors again->Color Balance and do what colors you want for your hologram under Midtones and Highlights(no Shadow)
Filters->BLur->Gaussian Blur about 5.0 to 10.0
Use the Smudge tool and smudge the outline.
Add blue lines where needed

Umm english please? And whats encompassing? And any help with cloning?

I don't use the clone tool. Encompassing means the outline.
