541st Chronicles #4: The Day Dawned Red
All opinions welcome . First time I tried using GIMP for enviormental effects.
Re: 541st Chronicles #4: The Day Dawned Red
Some of the text isn't visible, but it's nice from what I've seen. I don't like the commander with the weird accent though.

Awesome. The effects are wonderful, and they help along the story. There seem to be some more characters too, though it's hard to get a grasp on them all!

Nope... two major ones are Ied (Clone with red cape) and Colonel Turaki (Officer with Grey Hair/Scout Trooper and brown cloak).
The snow-trooper-like clones are just from the Armored Elite division.
The shock trooper ones are Infantry Support.
The regular ones are Infantry.
When they're that close in time to each other use the edit button.

I love this! The city is amazing, I'm definantly going to try this technique for my upcoming Clone Wars comics. great work on this!!
Also I love this line:
Chalk 10, requesting air support, on ACD and Tinnies, Danger Close!!!
I can just here the transformers music from scorponok playing in the backround. And don't you dare tell me you didn't get your idea from that. Amazing!!

It isn't double posting ... it's two different, consecutive posts. Where I come from, a double post is where there are two alike posts after one another.

It IS double posting, and it's against the rules. So don't. I especially hate it when the creator is too lazy to put 2 quotes in 1 post. SO DON'T!

May I ask how you got the sun effect? I've been searching everywhere. And nice job, Sial, looks really professional!

I'll post a picture tutorial later.
>Filters
>Lights and Shadow
>Lighting Effects: Really the base for all of this. Do a orange hue, go heavy on the white, though untill you get a mild peachy color. Then postion the light so it's off the map, and up in the upper right hand corner. Try to keep it so it's not too dark in the rest of the picture, while hiding the real bright portion off map. Takes a bit to get right.
>Supernova: For the sun's rays, if you want them in that shot. Hide the major part of the nova off map, give it the same peach color. Experiment with the sliders for raidus and spokes. Leave random hue at zero.
>Lense Flare: Awesome if you're going to be doing a bright shot, with the sun in full view or being clipped out by a object. Makes it seem like the camera is being spoofed by the bright light. Postion it so the flare is in the same location, off screen, as the other two items.

Sweet battle scene, I love it! That backround is awesome and I like how you put in some snow troopers. You should put in one of wuzzupbob's galactic marines next time!

First, use the paths to create a triangle, hit enter, and color it in white. Then use the circular select tool, have some of the circle cover up the triangle, and hit enter. Color it in white to. Then experiment with font sizes and postionings, and use the undo button to revise the circle's postion/size.
