Big General Grievous
This is something I made way back. It's Grievous made of Bionicle and legos.
The links isn't working for some reason so please search for member insertusernamehere in brickshelf.com.

Re: Big General Grievous
That's really awesome dude! Bionicle is often under-rated, but that's great!

Re: Big General Grievous
In that picture he looks like he's break-dancing, no? But great job with bionicle! I assume you have the UCS Grievous since you have millions of green and blue trans studs?
And cody, please read the rules. 5 words or more, and spelling and grammar.

OH! Right!
Very special thanks to Thunder-Blade who GIMPed this for me.
Re: Big General Grievous
Oh wow, you do your lightsabers a lot different than mine! I triple layer 'em and gaussian blur them all! Anyhow, nice Grievous! That's how you use Bionicle.

That's cause Grievous Is holding one of his lightsabers with his foot like in the old clone wars cartoon.
Re: Big General Grievous
Can I have a pic of yours Alpha? My technique is best for minifigs... not the best for big things...

Here. If you want a better example, I'll dig through my MOCs.

Re: Big General Grievous
See the problem with your lighsabers are is that you don't have enough color in them... too much white.... and you should round the end...
Re: Big General Grievous
I know, but I'm trying to keep them as "legoish" as possible. And I guess mine could be a bit thinner.... but anyhow, back on topic!

That's what my problem is. Think you can help me, Thunder?
Re: Big General Grievous
It depends on the technique you use... you use Photoshop right?
So if you do the multi-layer like in the video I posted in the tutorials section, then you should be fine.
If you do it like I do it... simply Gaussian Blurring it once... then you just make the Gaussian Blur bigger.
A good rule of thumb is... the bigger the lightsaber is, the bigger the Gaussian is!

Re: Big General Grievous
I remember being a huge Bionicle fan... But the story was getting weird and confusing.
I have some other Bionicle stuff I made, but I doubt that I'll post it.

You should talk with ABL and me more, because we also like Bionicle! (Although I don't like the new ones, as you said it has become an odd story, and the designs aren't as good as before, IMO).

Re: Big General Grievous
Very cool, a decent barnicle MOC is a rare thing indeed!
I'm the other way. I still keep up to date with the story, but the sets themselves have gone downhill. 2001 Toa Mata FTW!(insert name here) wrote:I remember being a huge Bionicle fan... But the story was getting weird and confusing.

Yea, the last really cool sets were actually either the Visorak or Toa Hordika.

Re: Big General Grievous
Yeah, I left Bionicle when the Visorak came out. 2004, right? Or was it 2005? Since then, every group of six, I collected completely. In the mean of titans, I only missed the Cahdok and Gahdok set...
Anyways, sorry 'bout the off topicness!
