Dark Forces 2 Vignette Kyle vs. Maw

Basically this is a vignette of Kyle during a brief run-in with Maw. It's not from the game nor is it canon, but the story as I drew it up is basically that Kyle finds himself unconscious on this bridge and Maw is coming towards him from the sky, and he needs to choose the right way to go. One way leads to a deathtrap, and the other way leads to an elevator which will take him to the Moldy Crow.







The wrong way, which is a simple door which leads to a smooth bump which Kyle will trip over and fall into the obscurity of the unforgiving abyss below him. I always did remember a lot of those unforgiving abysses.

The right way, which is a simple elevator concealed by rubble.

Cool! That is one cool lift! In the final pick, it looks like Maw is saying "Crap, not again!" .

That's what I thought too.

He was definitely the most vehement of the Sith, and that torso worked fine as well as the head.

It's actually really easy to do. Just take a 1x2 brick with two axleholes, put two pins in which have a stud on the end, and then clap on the Interceptor wings and it's a little hallow for the elevator.

I know it's easy. Haven't got those pieces myself though.

Which pieces? The pins and bricks or the wings? You should get the Sith Interceptor; go to an out of the way mart like K-Mart or whatever you have over in the Netherlands.

They usually have a basic stock that is rarely updated, so you can usually find something nice.

Since when does it have holes?

It resembles the movie pretty closely and a lot closer than the 1999 version.

It's just ugly.

Besides, you can easily scrap it for pieces.

I built the CIS Artillery Cruiser with its pieces.

And this is pretty nice! The bridge itself is good, though it might need a greeble or two...

Also, all the stuff in the background is a tad distracting... but it's nice!

Yeah; I think maybe widen it if I can and add some wedges to the sides to give it a contoured feeling.

And sorry about the background; I'm gonna use your technique next time.

I wasn't thinking of using the white balance technique on this... too much paper!

Because it might give it an un-natural look... maybe a baseplate with a simple wall might work as a background...

But then again... people would complain about the plain background and how you have to add greebles!

He he... If I ever get that Giant Chess set I'm just going to tear it apart in chunks and make a fortress with it so I'll have two huge baseplates...

But for now I must submit to a mere 16x32 dark grey baseplate.

Simple but that elevator is effective. I like the build of it too. Going to wookieepedia.com to search for Maw.
