Hey, since we all love your work, could you possibly make clones and sell them to us here on CABG, that way we don't have to fight all those bums on ebay for them?

how much should I sell them for?

Re: My Custom 501st Minifigure!
Start at $20 Wookieedude. If they sell too quickly, up it to $25. If it's not selling, put it down to $15.

$20 would be way overpriced, IMO.

Whatever you think is fair, considering in the cost of materials, and your time, but remember, your selling these to fellow fans/friends and hopefully you are not a scalper.

Anywhere between $15 and $20 is fair.

Re: My Custom 501st Minifigure!
20$ for a fig? I could buy a battle pack and learn how to paint for less than 20$ I think, if you didn't work too hard on it, sell it from say 5-10$
If you make one that you spent lots of time on 15-20$ because people are intimidated by price (like me) just a suggestion.

CC007, not to sound rude, but your pricing scheme is seriously wrong! I would start at between $5-10 because, it isn't stupidly priced like other stuff and because you started at a low price, more people will bid on it. Uberlag hit it right on the head.

I personally don't think it's worth that much, but I've seen clones painted worse than that go for $15 and sell. But I'd say $10 is a fair price.

I as well have seen clones of much worse quality than these exquisite pieces go for that much and more, but I think the $5-$10 range would be good. We all know that often what you see and what is fair can be TOTALLY different, just look at the Hoth Rebel Base.

Re: My Custom 501st Minifigure!
Remember to make a profit! You have to count for the cost of a trooper (check bricklink) as well as the cost of the paint, as well as your time adn efforty put into it. I'd say that a nice custom figure could go for about, 7, or 10. Go to www.brickarms.com and check out their prices on weapons if you want to see what good stuff sells for.
Re: My Custom 501st Minifigure!
^ Very true, these are all factors to consider when making pricing decisions, but remember, you do want to make some profit but not enough to intimidate the buyer. (Like those profit-minded bums over on ebay. )

Re: My Custom 501st Minifigure!
Yes, I agree. If you add the cost of the clone trooper, with the paint up, and add a few dollars, $2 or $3 or so for your effort, then it wouldn't be expensive, but not as cheap people would think it's rubbish.

Look at this: http://cgi.ebay.com/STAR-WARS-Legos-CUSTOM-Republic-Clone-Commando-CAMO_W0QQitemZ260213640019QQihZ016QQcategoryZ145928QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
All it is is a clone trooper attacked with a sharpie, there's more of the same stuff too, I think whoever buys them is stupid because you could do the same thing with 10 dollars and a sharpie except you would have 4 instead of one.

Re: My Custom 501st Minifigure!
The point is qaulity. Thaty is a bit over priced though. I'm sticking with about $7. Just start selling it Wookkie. I mean, here on the site. I think that if you let us bid on it, you'll know about how much it's worth. You can even start with only a dollor, I can promise you it will go way up! So make us bid, whoever wins it will pay what they think is fair!
Re: My Custom 501st Minifigure!
Whoa, I don't like bidding, it's a REAL pain, and stuff ALWAYS goes way expensive, besides if he picks a set price, then we all can buy as many as we want, and won't have to fight each other for them.
