Republic IFV
Inspired by Sial's model.
Whattya think?
I've already made a second version which I'll upload soon.

Re: Republic IFV
great model! I highly recommend getting a clean paint brush to brush dust off your mocs before you take pictures of them.
Re: Republic IFV
Good pieces usage. Why are they actually jumping off it? Do they want to die or what?

Re: Republic IFV
It's pretty nice, 80-0! It's a little bit blocky, but Sial's model was, too.
I also like how you were original and made your own chaingun design!

Re: Republic IFV
Brilliant. A small, blocky, little transport that gets the job done. I love the usage of those guns, great job! I'm gonna do this as well. But with a different name.

Re: Republic IFV
@ jens: Thanks; dust has always been a problem, especially with the intensely high quality of my camera...
@ DP: It's like those British helicopters where it slants up the back end like in this IFV, but it opens downwards. They could be jumping into water for instance.
Plus, it allows the IFV to hover over the ground, put down the door, and have the troops run out, close the door, and take off without having to land.
@ Joe: Yup, and his was a LOT more blocky!
@ Alpha: Good luck!
@ Astor: Yup!
Thanks to one and all!

Yeah same here, but the paint brush is a very nice tool because it doesn't take a lot of time or effort and the result is great.

Yea, I use the same for my models.

Re: Republic IFV
Awesome!!
The entire design is great!
And I don't have a dust problem at all... I play with my Lego too much!

Re: Republic IFV
The structure of it is just brilliant! While I don't like the forward mounted rotary cannons, it's still pretty well done !

Re: Republic IFV
I agree with Sial... the front cannons are a bit... awkward maybe transition it with slopes?

Hmm maybe a grilled 2x1 slope could do the job.

Re: Republic IFV
This is a nice model! What is the clone doing with the droid though? And for getting dust of, I find it affective to use a leaf blower.
Re: Republic IFV
This is really cool! The cockpit design is spectacular. I personally like the front cannons. I like that minigun Rex is holding .

Shape = Win
Design = Win
Idea= Win
Maybe just shape it up a tad, add a strong secondary color, but this is awesome! Something to be very proud of!

Re: Republic IFV
I saw this on Flickr and added it to my faves about a week ago. The back ramp is a awesome attachment!

Re: Republic IFV
Mind if I re-steal this fine piece of work?
I've been needing some inspiration for a ship like this for awhile, it'll be pretty different though.

Re: Republic IFV
@ 667th: Saying goodbye, telling him to take care, I dunno.
@ Zeph: Well, in my remodeling, the only colors are dark grey, dark red, some light grey, some black, trans red and trans orange and a trans smoke windshield(which by the way is the Magnaguard Starfighter's cockpit in the remodeling). What do you mean by secondary color?
@ Bantha: Thanks!
@ ABL: Thanks! (is any comment of yours not a nice one? )
@ Faie: Compare this to Sial's and tell me which is studdier.
@ Uber: Steal away!
Thanks all!
