Not to steal anyones thunder but.... I have been working on this for about 2 weeks now.

It is a standard Clone Commando. Kudos to wuzzupbob for lending me the back computer plate graphic. Also the gun is from Littlearmsshop.

This is the clone I was talking about when I started the post (important - Introduction and Contest Idea) about designing your own clone commando using a standard decal. I am still rethinking that idea for down the road.

AWESOME!
he only flaw I can see, is that the helmet seems to be to high, clone commando helmets seem to go down more.

Yeah especially in the back, is the helmet a custom cast? Smile Blue Arc

I am not sure I understand. Do you mean how this was put together.

To all others.
This is a finless EpII cast with decal detailing. Based on the Hasbro figure the helmet actually comes up in the back. Commando Scorch. As far as it looking to high. I think part of that may be the picture angle and that the helmet is white. Maybe if I add some deailing to the bottom (back) of the helmet it will draw the eye down.

Indeed. The reason it comes down in the front is because of the shape of the human head(the chin). Since Lego heads don't have chins, there's nothing to cover; hence no reason to angle it down. Fordo Yo!

Also, I'm glad to see you used the new version of that head!(did you notice it's new? I have two of them.)

The helmet does not look like decals at all. It looks like that blue was molded onto the helmet. Excellent job!

Thanks all for the replys on the decals. It takes a lot of practice but once you get the hang of making decals to suit the natural contours of a helmet it goes fairly fast.

I have also made a yellow and orange visor. I will take pictures once they are done.

Rook.

I casted the helmet using my own pressure cast tecnique. The helmets for the most part come out flawless. The ones that are not flawless I throw away. Shocked Sorry but I can not hand the bad versions out due to my wanting to maintain a consistent product for sale.

The gun is from Littlearmsshop.com. Hein-Jan has been great to work with. I don't know how much I had to do with it but I asked him to make a realistic Star Corps pistol and gave him pictures of Cpt. Fordo's gun and voila a few months later there it is.

I wouldn't want it though. I would prefer to get the good ones for full price. It's like getting a lock, but not the thing it unlocks. Worthless.
