That is a very good idea! Too bad I only have 1 of those bricks, they were only in the old castle sets..

I've done this, and I didn't like that the capes don't fit right.
Re: Purist Corner (Guns, Accessories, Etc.)
Here's a pic of some of OUR purist Kamas made from chopped up HP capes!
Sorry the pics arn't perfect, and nither are the kamas, it's hard to keep thm in shape, but with some work it CAN be done!

Ok on your avatar Rex (thats the clone's name) is wearing a skirt, THAT is a kama. They are also called, waist capes, command skirts, and belt capes. There origin lies with the Mandaloriens, and more specifically, the Supercommandos. ARC troopers were the first to wear them to symbolize rank and the overall "specialness" of an ARC trooper. Later other clones wore them as rank symbols as well. By the end of the war they were worn to symblize rank, specialty units, highly regarded/decorated units, or as a personalised armor accesory.

It's some kind of clothing around the legs, you se ARc troopers wearing it.
And astoria, the problem with that is that the capes bend over to the back eh? I made some myself, they do the same. That can be fixed but then the torso is way too high above the legs...

I always get Kama confused with Karma.

Too many 'P's!
That's a neat way to make a kama, but it leaves the front and back revealed, unfortunately. I use a cape or two pauldrons when I need a kama...

I never saw this post... strange? I had that idea about a month and a half ago with two red ones. It works really well actually!

But isn't the back open?

Yeah, and as Rook said the capes don't fit well at all and it makes them fit loosely on a minifig's neck.
I'm just gonna wait until the CW kamas come...

Yeah, I think the're made out of plastic, not cloth, but they still look GOOD!

Re: Purist Corner (Guns, Accessories, Etc.)
Here are my pros and cons about the new CW kamas:
PROS
-they're plastic, so they won't rip easily
-made for play
CONS
-flexibility may be limited
-you may not be able to sit them down
Tough, tough decision. I am leaning toward liking them, but I'll have to see them in action first.

They are plastic, ABL, it's been confirmed by some people who went to the Toyfair.

I kinda figured since they had a glossy sheen to them, and 667's list is perfect!

I was wondering about CC's purist kama: What if one were to take four of those capes and put them on the figure's legs, side and back? Or would it too heavily tax the hole?

Because the pieces are so thick, it would make it so you couldn't connect the legs back onto the fig, and even if you were able to re-assemble the fig, he'd be a lot taller...

Yea, that wouldn't look very good at the rest of the clones.

Re: Purist Corner (Guns, Accessories, Etc.)
I would have to say I would agree with Rook on the plastic kamas! I also prefer them over cloth! however, I do believe that the pauldrons for the troopers should be cloth or plastic-y. Perhaps a material similar to the old Ninja Flags.

Really? The cloth is more accurate and looks better.
