Mini-scale Battle for Thendur Bleda(pic heavy)(new pics up)
Yes, that's a pun on the next CABG Moderator, of course.
But fortunately, it's also an MOC.
The craptastic hidden base. I'm new at miniscale, so I've a lot to learn yet, no doubt.
Though it does close up.
Now for the Munificents(kudos to Sial for sparking the design!), starting with the basic craft:
And now the funked out command ship:
The command ship is entirely studless, and the smaller is studless but for four studs.

Is that the official Venator? Didn't DY say you have to make your own minis? Well... Its good for a first try...
Re: Mini-scale Battle for Thendur Bleda(pic heavy)(new pics up)
It is a good first start. You need to make the ships more vibrant.

Wow I like the banking clan frigate the best out of all.
Re: Mini-scale Battle for Thendur Bleda(pic heavy)(new pics up)
Yes, it is an official Venator. It is from Brickmaster. Awesome job with the CIS ship! Nice job with SNOTing it. The ground is awesome!! Maybe a bit more rocks would be nice. Where are the clones and droids? It would look awesome on the ground if you make a battle. Awesome job!!Pdragon wrote:Is that the official Venator? Didn't DY say you have to make your own minis? I'm pretty sure this isn't for the contest.
Re: Mini-scale Battle for Thendur Bleda(pic heavy)(new pics up)
Well, as others have said, the Venator is the official model. On top of that, the Munificent-class is pretty inaccurate, as there should be a sort of trench running down the middle. Plus, the all-grey ships don't stand out much, so... Needs work.

Best MOC from you 80-0 ever!
And I'm not just saying that because I have my name in it!
The SNOTed ship is just beautiful, even if it isn't very accurate it's still awesome!

Wait. Are the cruisers supposed to have different sized wings on the sep's ships?

Re: Mini-scale Battle for Thendur Bleda(pic heavy)(new pics up)
So essentially; you just built two seperatist ships and a small ground base, right? The ships really blend in to the ground, and they aren't very colorful...but I guess it is an OK MOC.

Ya, I never liked the trench. Sorta went my own way. So you say -1000 points for accuracy and +1 points for looking cool? Some people are tough critics; doesn't mean they're smart.
CIS ships aren't meant to be colorful, unless there's some hippie droid brigade I haven't heard of.

Har har.
You do know that isn't technically SNOT?
why wrote:Wait. Are the cruisers supposed to have different sized wings on the sep's ships?
Yes.

But I've already redone it, sort of, with vegetation and plant growth, as well as a monument which I have no idea how or why I built.
And once again, regarding the color, if there were a hippie CIS brigade, I'd've done something about it.
Plus plus, I modified the Venator. It's about three or four(maybe five) studs longer at the nose, and I remodeled the total make and made a new turbolaser formatting so they can actually tilt down.
And I know the base is dreadful; it's kinda some huge door from which a secret underground factory sends out battle cruisers... I know, right outta the book, right?

Nice 80-0! I really like it. ! I like the dark gray ship a lot.
Re: Mini-scale Battle for Thendur Bleda(pic heavy)(new pics up)
The Invisible Hand had blue stripes and some yellow in places.80-0 wrote:CIS ships aren't meant to be colorful, unless there's some hippie droid brigade I haven't heard of.

The Munificent class frigates by the CIS weren't all dark bley, they had dark blue and green in them too, if I remember right.

Wow, that SNOTed ship blew me away! As for the ground, I think a little cheese parts will look good here and there, but nice start!
Re: Mini-scale Battle for Thendur Bleda(pic heavy)(new pics up)
I really love that ship you built!
But it really isn't a Munificent, but a great design nonetheless!

Thank you. It's missing a bridge, and a top spire. Plus the wings aren't that well defined . Good ship, but it's not a Munificent-class.

Yes. Very undefined colors; dark blue is not well defined, and the yellow in a mini-scale ship is smaller than any Lego brick available.
Actually, I'm going to add a spire. I recall from Lego Star Wars 1 that you had to fly into one of those and cause the bridge to collapse. Maybe I'll take these in for a check up.
But for now they're preliminary Munificents.
And now: A spoiler pic of things to come:
My modified Venator.
