Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
I would add a little more protection for the troops, but that's just me. It was cool anyway!
Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
Yeah, I was going to add some 1x? brick, but I couldn't do it without making it bulky/unstable.
And I could add a windshield... hmm...

tips
The ship looks great although does not look like it can carry many troopers.

Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
Yeah , Rakneoner is right. 4 troops being haulded into battle isn't very useful, a better number would be 8 , or atleast six.

Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
The key-word here is support.
I think its not meant to carry that many... though if it were enlarged and had higher walls it could accommodate more!

Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
Hence the support, the Guild Build was to make a dropship that could carry units of cargo.
While I'm somewhat disappointed by the lack of troopers, it's a fracking supply ship.

Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
I'm finding that more, and more people are using the "drop pod" as a crutch. It started with CC, then LegoRev, now you're doing it .
Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
Hmmm...I don't know. There's something about this dropship I don't like. Maybe it's the blaster in the front, or the wings. I don't know. But something is odd about this dropship.
Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
The word 'Crutch' in your sentence is a bit confusing...mind explaining it? I'm not sure if this is supposed to be meant as a compliment or deragatory, or neutral. Personally since it is a 'Drop Ship' contest, I think having someothing to Drop is in order, don't you? And it technicly started with Darth Yoda, though I had my design planned out before he posted his dropship.Sialboats wrote:I'm finding that more, and more people are using the "drop pod" as a crutch. Well, with you, it wasn't a big problem , but this concept has been the basis for every dropship I've seen since. Well, maybe not LegoRev.. there was another fellow though.
Aurek-class support dropship
This dropship could definitely use some work. I couldn't tell what were the guns and what weren't. And an open troop bay? Seriously! Put some more effort into this!
I hope this does not offend you. You are actually a pretty good builder.

Re: Aurek-Class Support Dropship
It's good, but not the greatest. It flows wonderful, much better than the "blocky and awful" (in the words of 80-0) one I made, but it looks a little flimsy. What you could do is put the troop compartment under the wings... But then you'd get a LAAT. Maybe bulk it up a bit, it looks more like a starfighter than a dropship. It's still nice though.
