Darth Bane

I know it must come as a shock to you all, but I'm posting yet another purist minifig.
This time it's Darth Bane. The fig is based on his appearence in rule of two, so the lightsaber is a curved hilt-red bladed model as opposed to the one in the refrence pic I am posting. I picked the torso because It had a lot of little segments for the orbalisks and it looks the most organic and closest to his living armor that I could find. Also, it has a nice bright color. I am probably going to change the figs legs, but they were sitting there when I put it together, so I went with them.

It looks pretty good, but it would look better if it were modded. . .

The reference pic scares me, while the minifig itself doesn't do it justice. The torso doesn't really match and he doesn't really have that much of a high collar. I'm quite sure the closest anyone every got to making an accurate, purist Bane was from Sméagol's Bane of the Sith.

But Smeagol's Bane is the one without the ornate helmet..

Pretty nice for a purist minifig.

Eh, it's not bad for a purist rendition, but the colours clash so much...

Meh. He doesn't have a red cape, his armour isn't all green and those castle straps are just out of place.
