"The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Its BIG, Its BOLD , Its:
Its kinda a special operatives gunship, popular for its ridiculous firepower and ability to get out of tight situations.
Tah-dah! High in the sky's of the battle of Geonosis - Its HUGE!
Its very long, 53 studs to be precise
It takes 3 pilots to fly this monster, yes, THREE!
Med-Bay
Screen-accurate missile loading bay!
Decals, "The Big Fish"
The Troop bay is radical! It opens upwards, not sideways! + Interior
The engines, with fins and extended missile launchers, and midway on the wings, 3 chainguns...
Overhead shot, I saved the best for last!
And heres a link to the much more detailed page, on my MOCpages site:

It looks pretty cool, very powerful, but maybe a bit multi-colored.

That thing is huge! It's incredible! It need's sideways opebing doors (sorry, I just don't like them).
Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Where did you get the three pilot idea from because I was going to do that! Apart from that it is very well done, I especially like the missiles. Good job.

Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
I've seen this on your MOCpages page ages ago. Very impressive - I like all its weaponry.
Question: why would it take three pilots to fly this thing?

Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Probably because all the weoponry is too much too control for just one man and a pilot. Just a suggestion.MikeZulu wrote:

Oh, so some of them would be gunners 'oh:

Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Thats it! Well, Its one of the reasons that I have made up in my head... When I first build it, it was a modded Laat/i, then I changed it again - I tried to supersize everything! So I thought an extra cockpit would suffice! So really its bigger, thus it has more systems and stuff, thus requiring another person to lighten the workload.Code_Green wrote:Probably because all the weoponry is too much too control for just one man and a pilot. Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
I really do like this, but I simply have to nitpick. Only three little things that are bothering me.
1: Colors. Either try to keep it more like the normal larty, or replace that ugly red and green with a uniform color (preferably Republic Red).
2: Bay door. All those studs really detract from the design.
3: Bubble turret. If that gunship jinks too hard, that gunner's going to meet up with the ground forces really quickly .

Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
I'm with Sial. Its not that great. It looks like a multi-colored cross between a LAAT/i and a Pelican from Halo. And the doors aren't rad. Its easy to make doors to open up. But to make em' slide like LEGO did.. that'd be win. The concept is really good, but the execution could use some work.
Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
It;s good but, I woould stick with only once color red. Not the bright red ad the republic red. Otherwise, it looks pretty good!
Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Looks good...But, if I were you, I would only use Dark(Republic)Red instead of different shades.
Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Look, I completely agree with all of you (!). But my lego bricks are limited! The only 'republice red' coloured bricks that I have are from the Republic Gunship (here) and the Jedi Jedi Starfighter, I have put ALL of those bricks in this thing! All of them! except the large wing bits from the starfighter, they really didnt look well with the gunship, thankyou all for you 'constructive' critisism!CT44 wrote:Looks good...But, if I were you, I would only use Dark(Republic)Red instead of different shades.

But what if he can't?
I love this gunship! The doors are pretty cool, and the missles are awesome. It's a little multicolored though, hope you can work on that!

Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Now that, is awesome! It makes me want go mod my gunship. I think I will!
I just don't like the way the doors open. It's not very impressive. I used rubber bands on mine, so that you just give them a little nudge, and they pop open!

That's no excuse. If your collection is limited, build smaller.
Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Great job on it. Although the wings look like they're a little heavy for the ship, due to the size of the engines.

Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
Very good design, the only thing you need to work on is the colours!
Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
I like it. It doesn't look too multi-colored to me. I really like the GIMP/ Photoshop (whatever it is) that you did there!
Re: "The Vindicator" Heavy LAAT/I
I really like the design although it is a bit multicolored. Awesome!
