Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
Well, as many of you can guess this is my entry for the April Bull Ship Contest! It is Obi-Wan's personal airspeeder for Coruscant. The white horns on the front and sides of the ship come from sacred Bull Rancor bone yards on an Outer-Rim world. They are believed by the Jedi to hold powerful rancor spirits which can be tamed to help protect the holder. Obi attached them to the front of his airspeeder because he is not one of the better nor luckier pilots in the Galaxy
Angled front shot of the speeder. I was originally going to make a pimped-out speeder for Mace Windu but ran out of purple. Speeders are pretty fun to build actually, so I think you might see one for Mace sometime soon.
Front shot. I attached a lightsaber hilt to the front of the speeder to add in more chrome as well as to mimic the winged figure seen on a 1930's Rolls Royce model.
Closer up of the engine greebles. The picture color came out a little weird, but I liked the greebles. I put two red astromech droid body in there just like in TLC Bounty Hunter Persuit set, and wanted to keep it. It stands out a little too much for my taste, but I don't have a black astromech yet- which probably would've worked better.
Side shot.
Top shot of the speeder. I really liked the angles of this speeder, as well as the elongated front and short cab in the back. From this angle the speeder kind of looks like a horshoe crab
Angled back shot. I also liked the angles I ended up with back here to help continue the flow of the vehicle while cramming in those engines.
Back shot of the speeder with the engines.
The cabin of the speeder. I <3 dark tan so much now. Originally this was created as the seat for Mace's speeder, but the color went so well with dark bley and republic red that I had to keep it.
Obi pilots the chick-magnet down the night club part of Coruscant and waves slowly to hot Twi'Lek women.
Obi-Wan in the dashing speeder.
Obi poses in a Jedi photoshoot for the High Council to help promote the Bull Rancor Airspeeder.
My inspiration for the speeder came from the Fleetwood car seen bellow, as well as the engines seen in Ani/Obi's speeder in the bounty hunter pursuit set.

Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
This is amazing work, truly detailed. Some of the details I realy like are the R4 bodies and the pistols on the engine. Also the gear shifter lever between the seats is pretty briliant. I think its quite possible you could come close to winning this . I look forward to Mace's speeder, good luck getting the purple, I have absalutely none .

I knew it when I say the name of the person who made the MOC. I knew that we would have yet another awesomely done MOC with alot of detail. And was I right you betcha I was right.
I like the over all design the most. The way it is mot like a block and not a sloped shape is good, the use of the droid bodies as engines was very cool. And the use of the horns in the back made it look more shaped then it really is. And the seating area is awesome.
One question.
When you made this did you start with the seating area?

Thanks guys! I actually started out in the front with the rancor horns. I had some different designs for the front grill part (which will be used in Mace's speeder), but settled with the one I had now. I poked around with the droid bodies and kinda built around them. Then I had the idea for the seats and worked on that, followed by the engine. I made some slight touch ups on the sides and back and it was completed.
Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
EPIC WIN!
I am completely speechless!!! That is just stunning. All the detail and the colors and design, it just all fits so well together.
Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
That detail in the cockpit is just awesome. Another idea for an ARC antenna!
You've won the contest, again.

Wow. Amazing job there! I love the droid bodies for parts of the engines, and all the greebles! And is that antenna supposed to be the gear shift? Very cool use of parts!

Of course, like every airspeeder corporation is going to make an airspeeder that functions as an airspeeder to look JUST like a bull. Sure.
Anyway, I love the greebles, particularly the pistols, and the seating area is great. Tan leather seats ftw!

WOW, that is incredible, the attention to detail is amazing! If you don't win the contest, i don't know who will! Very Very nice work there!!

It didn't have to resemble a bull.
Contest Rules State wrote:2. Ship must include something to with a Bull. It can have horns, a cargo hold of the new Lego Cattle (Bulls), or it can even look like a flying Bull's Skull!
667- Yep that's a gear shifter or engine booster of some sort

My mistake .
I just misunderstood it.(Is that how it's spelled? I'm not the best speller if you've noticed. You say: "Yeah, we've noticed!")
Yep you've spelled it right. If you have troubles with spelling you can either write posts in a word document then spellcheck them before pasting them in posts, download a free spellchecker online, or you can get the firefox browser which has a built in spell-check. Remember the 3 smiley limit per post though.
Edit: Sorry, thought it was five smilies...

Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
Yeah it's ok, the title Bullship makes it sound like it should physically look like a bull, but the rules permit horns, stickers, etc
Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
That is AWESOME Legorev! The greebs especially the engines are just astounding, nice work!

Very well done LegoRevolution! I really like the horns in the front and the design is very well done.
Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
I love it. The greebles, those two slopes on either side, the use of the ARC antenna in the cockpit, and the astromech droids. Absolutely amazing.
Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
I feel as though this ought'a bee in a Lexus commercial . The interior seating simply is perfect, I must find me some of that dark beige, makes wonderful leather.
Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
Just so you know Sial, that particular brick is only in six sets, four of which are Indy sets and two of which are Star Wars.
Dooku's Solar Sailer, Naboo Starfighter(the new one obviously), Temple of Akator, Temple Escape, Indy and the Lost Tomb, and Peril in Peru.
I got the Temple of Akator; it has 14 of them. Likewise the Solar Sailer which I do not have has 10, and the Temple Escape has 6. Those are the three largest counts.

Woo! Now you're talking, endorsed by Obi and Lexus!
80-Oh!- You seem to be well informed with these pieces. If one needs help on finding history on dark tan parts (or maybe parts in general), I'd talk to this guy
Thanks for the comments guys! I'm glad you enjoy it.
Bull speeder
Great, I really like the cockpit

It's pretty good. The leather seats are pretty awesome and so are the greebles!
My only complaints are the R2 unit bodies and the fact that the gear shifter is on the wrong end of the cabin.

...But I thought he hated flying.... LOL! Guess not! This is incredible!
Re: Obi Wan's Bull Rancor Airspeeder
He may have hated flying, but that is no reason not to drive it (how else would he get places in corusant if he didn't fly?). Would you have declined if someone offered you a car just because you hate driving (when your old enough)? That ought to make you think .
