Rebel Bunker

This is a small pillbox-esque bunker for the Rebellion. And it just happened to be under attack by a Matoran AND the forces of the Empire at the same time.











Inside the bunker there are six beds and three dual gunracks; nothing spectacular.

Where's the Imperial Officer's head from? From that angle, it looks a bit like Jayne from Firefly.

I like this 80-0. Very simple yet nicely done.

It's one of the heads from the 'KK3' line. It wasn't as crappy as KK1 and KK2 and had a lot of new stuff, new heads, etc. It's a particularly medeival head; he has stern eyes to go with the goatee, and a shock of dark orange hair on the top of the printing. One of my favorite heads.

It's a bit simple, it's just a box with some figs on it. I miss the detail. Like the AA gun though.

I intend to make the AA gun more of a gun rather than a mere plate slapped on a tilter.

As for the bunker...

If you walked up to a WW2 reenactment and saw soldiers lying on top of a pillbox shooting with MGs down below, wouldn't you say it's just a tan box with some people on it?

It seems a little plain, 80-0. It's really good, it just needs some greebles.

Exactly! This is definitely where I need to apply greebles. As you can see I attempted to begin that on the ground floor.

But fear not, when I get pictures of the rest of the bunker including the interior and possibly a modified AA gun, there will be greebles, ladders, etc.

Needs way more greebs, but the gun is okay. Maybe make it more 3-D though, it looks flat right now. Also, maybe add some more nature colors, even just browns, on the floor level to show the difference between the ground and the bunker. It possibly looks like a cliff right now. You need to show more a seperation, and coloring is how you do that!

I liked it. You really should enter the Bionicle v.s Star wars contest. (Going over making sure you haven't entered already)

@ Zeph: Greebles are coming; that's an interesting point you make about brown. I haven't used brown a terrible lot in my MOCs of late, so it shouldn't hurt. I'm just working on finishing my Bank Robbery SNOT scene which should certainly blow this little pillbox away.

I would greeble it a bit more but you did a good job with the scene.

I'm bumping this with a few new pics of the turret, which I modified in a VERY strange way.

I'm not entirely pleased with how it looks in relation to the bunker but the turret itself I like.

I actually like this one a lot! It looks a lot better, the grey in this is nice.

Wow it really doesn't go with the bunker like you said, but it's just alot more awesome than your older one and it's just pretty frakin awesome .

I suppose if I hadn't scrapped it to make the C-Wing I could've worked to make an underground facility with a much more unboxy bunker in order to achieve a better standing for the cannon, for which I have no name. Any takers?

I just have one complaint about the first one, why does the imperial officer have yellow skin when the rebels are all fleshie?
