Big Brother is Watching you...
A LEGO rendition of George Orwell's famous totalitarian novel, Nineteen Eight-Four.
Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
It's actually just paper - thin paper, printed on my old B&W printer. It gave it a really cheap and tattered look - which was just the look I was going for!
Thanks, too!

Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
I like it - the television screen is nice but looks more like a poster (unless its meant to be a poster)
I remember 1984 from high school english - probably the only book I read that was interesting.

Yes, it is indeed a poster, as described in the books.
I went mainly - if not totally - by the book in this, and in terms of everything else it was my imagination.

Although I have no idea what this was based off, I bet it was special.

When I saw this I thought it looked great! I like the paper on the wall and the whole thing really.
Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
Whoa, nice job on poster, CG! Is the character on the left supposed to be Julia? Big Brother looks freakily harsh. Wasn't the mustache supposed to obscure his expression, so that citizens didn't know how harsh the Party was?

You always know your way with random MOCs, CG. I like the panelling effect on the ground. I thought you made the poster with legoes! But, I have never heard of that book!
Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
Nice moc! It would probably look like crap with loads off detail .

Accurate even down to the Outer Party member's overalls (or were they coveralls )! Nice little moc.
Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
Nice little MOC. I like how there are no studs and that the dude on the screen looks really scary . Nah just joking. Overall a pretty decent comic.

It's meant to be a Prole - or as Marx called them, the Proletarians.
Cheers, all! And yep, they were overalls, Sial.

Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
Ah a MOC of the classics I'm liking it! Luckily this never happened in 1984, yet we got close to it with Bush.

You mean he pointed out your idiocy? Where? It looks like he's agreeing with you... Which means he's taking part in your idiocy.
I really do love it! A little frazzled on the edges, but hey, it's convincing.

Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
Great CG, It seems very acurate, like Sial said with the overalls. But in the book it describes the streets as being dirty, just a suggestion.

Woah, way cool in a creepy don't-even-want-to-think-about-it kinda way.

Re: Big Brother is Watching you...
Wait, if I remember correctly, Big Brother looked reassuring and kind, the kind of person you would love, hence "I love Big Brother" being said so frequently. Hmm... This guy looks like the kind of person you want to throw a shoe at. Both your shoes at, in fact. While he gives a speech. In a foreign country.
Anyways, nice MOC. You should make the white room or the place where they torture that guy (forgot his name...) next.
Dang, I need to read that book again. It's been over a year.
