Hammerhead Transport
Backstory: The Hammerhead is a weaponless vessel used for diplomatic and VIP transportation between larger star cruisers. It is equipped
with a hyperdrive making it the optimal choice for planet side drops when the use Venator-class Star Destroyer is either impratical or simply
too absurd. The vessel only required a minium of four personnel to operate effiecently but had the capacity to hold as much as the standard
Republic Gunship. This made it ideal for covert operations on neutral and enemy planets. It saw a limited production run in the later months
of the war and only a handful were deployed to the frontlines.
Check out the Gallery for more pics including interior and some construction techniques.
I'm rather proud of this creation as it is one of my first larger creations in 5-6 years. It also consumed about 90% of the white and all my dark red pieces.
I'm waiting on one BL order for the trans blue dishes for the engines and I'm trying to come up with some CW art for the large blank spot by the bridge.
Comments and critism wanted!

Re: Hammerhead Transport
Well, that's actually pretty sweet. There's enough greebling, it's got a good shape, and I love the positioning of the cockpit. Hope to see more from you in the future.
Re: Hammerhead Transport
I've seen you lurking around Halen, even after joining several months ago.
I love the MOC! Big and bulky with lots of greebles!

Re: Hammerhead Transport
I've not much in the way of complaints! I'm impressed that you built it with minimal to no old/new grey/bley mixing, built it to such a magnificent size, and built it so sturdily. My only complaints are the large and unsightly comm antenna on top of the bridge, and the barren nature of the interior. However they are so minor in comparison to the rest of the ship, it would have been best off if I didn't even speak of them .
Re: Hammerhead Transport
HOLY CRAP!!!
It is AWESOME!!!
I wish they would make more.
You really don't belong here.

Re: Hammerhead Transport
Thanks everyone for the comments. Yeah, it is pretty blocky, I had a longer frame built for it but found I was running out of white pieces
and didn't want to cover the front up with larger plates (think 6X10, 6X12 large).
@sailboats
I'll admit I kinda tacked on the comms array. I had the dish laying around and decided I'd try and use it.
Keep them comments coming so I can improve this beast.

If it's weaponless how come it has ball turrets on the side?

Amazing. A bit chubby and blocky, but good nonetheless.

Know wich one you are), but you have "the gift"!

Re: Hammerhead Transport
The colors, the cockpits, oh my!
My ONLY problem is that it's a bit rough on the sides, maybe smoothen it out or something, but it's fantastic.

That is WICKED!!! The ship is sooooo cool! Did you use 2 LAAT Gunships and a Republic Assault Tank?

Re: Hammerhead Transport
Wow Halen, who are you and where have you been? This vessel is fantastic and easily a rival to one of Rooks giant ships. I am now slightly believe that you are somehow related to Rook. Back on topic, I love the angles of this ship and how some engines seem to be poking out on the underside. The placement of whites and rep. reds are flawless, and there is sufficient greebling strewn about. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you can bring us. Welcome to CABG and as of right now you've got my vote for the portal moc.
