Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
The turrets were actually used on my HARPs, but they looked damned cool so I moved them onto this here thing.

Looks good. I like the recessed windows and the turrets. The use of the dishes on the top with the color scheme make it feel very natural in an industrial environment.
Any plans to add on to it?

Is this a long WIP? Cuz its kinda small. But, its really good. I like the MG nests... reminds me of CoD.."MG42! Second floor, last window!"
Ah...good times, good times...

Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
Oh, those repeating blaster turrets are sweet. It's so simple of an technique (1X1 multi-stud brick with two speeder bike handles on the side, and the cannon on the front), but yet you pull it off brilliantly !
Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
Meh. Not much detail at all. It's just basically a baseplate with glass windows and tan bricks of lego.
On the other side the Turrets are awesome.

Do you even think about what you're going to write before you type it? It's not just basically a baseplate with glass windows and tan bricks of lego. It is a baseplate with glass windows and tan bricks of lego. You then also have to admire the SNOT at the bottom, and those awesome Turrents he came up. Details man, Details!
Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
Well SNOT is easy to do and it's just plain and boring besides the turrets.PhiMa wrote:foxrex101 wrote:Meh. Not much detail at all. It's just basically a baseplate with glass windows and tan bricks of lego.

Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
There is no SNOT at the bottom of this MOC.

Atleast I can build. (Finally, I get to use this against a noob who thinks this is a baseplate with bricks, and for good measure, I'll insert it again ).
Are you blind?
There's tiles on the baseplate. And there's a structure. Yeah. A structure. And a mounted turret. Yeah. A mounted turret. And a roof which has minimal details. Yeah. A roof which has minimal details.
And you sum that up by saying a pile of tan bricks slapped on a baseplate.

Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
Well if I had those pieces I would make it more creative. You basically just made a wall with windows and a roof with bricks that sickout so you can put your minifigures on for the turret.

If I start violently harassing you, it's my personality, so don't take it personally, kay?

Well this is just in my opinion okay. You don't need to start spamming just because I don't like your base. I just don't like it so stop spamming already.
Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
Oh, no, spamming, you say?
This is on topic, but I just went off topic, but I don't give a d@mn (CC, stop the censoring), because this is MY damned thread.

Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
Thread starter =/= thread owner. This is the internet. Unless you pay for it, copyright it, and/or sign for it in triplicate, you own nothing here. Also, you are being kind of a jerk and frankly, the MOC does look boring. From your comments, though, it seems like you meant for it to be boring, so stop being a douche to the guy and just agree, because you're both making essentially the same point.
Now, onto the MOC. I know it's just a fortified house, but that's not to say there isn't at least one interesting thing in the place. Maybe show some actual fortifications besides the guns - some barbed wire in front of the giant glass window (yeah, real nice fortification there), some brickwork, perhaps a plant or two, or, gee, a door? Hell, if you still want it to be a big tan-and-grey block, maybe build it in a more interesting way, utilise some new techniques, incorporate a nifty action feature or two - just give the thing some character.

Re: [AlphA]AlphA Base
I am a fan of the whole concept, and I like the hallway at the base. The house really flows and looks just attractive. However as stated earlier, you could add some extra interesting stuff into this. The mounted turrets are a really good addition too though.
