Imperial Landing Craft Crash
Overview picture is link to the flickr slideshow.
During a Counterattack by Imperial forces on the Rebels held up in a Corellian city, an Imperial Landing Craft was shot down by a Rebel Quad Cannon laser turret. The occupants of the craft were able to escape, but they were quickly shot by rebel snipers.
A group of Rogue Clones under the command of Former 54th Regiment Commander Jedi Artoo fled to the Rebel Alliance during the Great Jedi Purge, and now they are fighting for their life alongside the Rebels on Corellia.
It isn't long however, before the Imperial Garrison sends a rescue party of two light automated walkers and several stormtroopers to recover the craft. They are targeted by the Rebel Clone Troopers, but before the clones open fire, they realize that these stormtroopers are part of the 54th Regiment that remained with the Empire!
These are their very brothers that they fought with during the Clone Wars. Can they fire upon these now menacing troopers, or will they take pity on them as they did to their jedi during Order 66?

Your very best work yet. I'm sorry if I'm being thick, but why are the stormies firing on the Stormies...
Re: Imperial Landing Craft Crash
Love it. I love the way it looks like an actual crash, I love the scenery, the minifigs, and everything else about it. Great job CC!

The stormies with the mechs are coming up to rescue the survivors of the crash; the clones are getting ready to fire on the stormies.

I must agree with Zepher; your most complete and finest work of all! The buildings look so firm, and I love the shoddy looking railings where the Rebels and clones are! Great work!

Re: Imperial Landing Craft Crash
Again GREAT JOB! But one thing I must point out, I noticed that on this MOC and others, clones and stormies are shown dead and "bleeding", clones and stormies don't leak body fluids when their hit or killed for several reasons. First, lasers, like lightsabers, cauterize the flesh in and around the wound, stoppind ALL bleeding. Second, stormtrooper and Clone armor is nearly impervious to shrapnel and therefore would not create a very large wound, or a wound at all when hit. Finally the inner body suit would have to be punctured to allow any kind of sufficient flow of fluids, and the interior of the body suit is VERY absorvative, as to eliminate things like sweat, so it would most likely be able to absorb any fluids given off by a wound. That is why we rarely see blood in Star Wars.

Re: Imperial Landing Craft Crash
I think if your ship blew up around you you'd be leaking a least a small amount of blood.

Not necessarily, you would be rattled around inside your suit, which would probably kill you without external damage. And besides, your suit would probably absorb any blood anyway...

Yes; in order to learn the true aspects of clone/stormtrooper armor, one must read the Republic Commando series!

I honesly don't care why they have blood...it just looks cool!

Re: Imperial Landing Craft Crash
Well what if the stormy got a major cut on one of his major arteries, there would probably be some unabsorbed blood, but it wouldn't leak out that much.

Which is what I have done, GREAT series I might add, a definite read! And CC007, it DOES look kinda cool, even if it is inaccurate. And Jedi Joe, you are right, but most main arteries arn't near one of the armors weak points, so damage to them would be difficult, but not impossible.

Well, don't forget the neck. But even then it's not that much exposed. But it still adds a bit of 'real reality' to it...

Don't worry; I got over it the moment I saw it. It was just these coconuts *points at the other members* who complained!
