The Stop-Motion Help Thread Empty The Stop-Motion Help Thread

Post by CT44 Mon Jul 13, 2009 1:40 am

Ok, I know there are a lot of stop-motion animators on this site and I figured that this thread could really help some of the more amatuer animators on this site. I can think of 3 really good animators and am sure that if you have any questions they, and whoever else can, would be happy to help.

I have 1 question to start off this thread:
I need some Blater sound effects and speederbike driving sound effects. Anybody know of a good free site?

*Please excuse me for posting in the GMA, and if this needs to be deleted go ahead.

Cheers,

Get the star wars lego game. All the sounds are in the folder under _SoundFX. Wink

That would be very helpful Alpha.

One more question:
Does anybody know a good walk cycle for about 10 fps?

Gimp, Yes it is a photo shop but you can make some good blaster and lazer effects. And it is FREE.
Audicity is good for sounds, but if you can get CS4 it has a great one.

Does anyone know a webcam in particular that would be great for stop-motion videos? And how would you make a bullet effect? Not sound, but like visual bullet effects? And to make fire, would I make fire in every picture for the sequence I want fire in?

Well I use microsoft lifecam. It plugs into your hard drive (big power tower) and the lense can focus in or out.
