And there's a very useful item called a lightbox, which can be made with a few sheets of the aforementioned paper, and a cardboard box, which also comes from trees.

And there's also a very useful item called a paths tool, and if you path around your MOC very closely, using multiple anchors for even the smallest stud, you can remove the MOC cleanly from it's "background". Then you place it onto a white background, mess with the lighting effects till it works, smooth out the edges, and drop shadow.




I'd do it more frequently, but I *HATE* pathing. The fastidious nature thereof is tiresome and irritating .

If a noob at GIMP like me can do it, I think that you can. And don't give up and start whining if you mess up, just keep trying.

Okay CT44 look here:

Take a picture of something on a white piece of paper..make it the background.

Then play with Brightness and Contrast to get the right look you want.

No. Learn the tools and get a basic knowledge of GIMP first.
