You've always nailed the colors and the playability. I'm not too sure about that landing pad, but that's not what the contest is about. I like how the boosters can morph out of the side- reminds me of the Invisible Hand while about to fall into the Coruscant atmosphere. Good design, even more menacing name.
Re: Rook's Barracuda (September GBuild Entry)
I fun just playing with the weird long angles of the body. Something different. I thought the landing pad would add a nice playable touch. Maybe I should have done a hanger bay but I love the remote outpost thing.
Re: Rook's Barracuda (September GBuild Entry)
You did awesome with the ship, the hanger, everything! I bet you would win the contest Rook.

Meh, not a fan. The fins on the back look disorganised and the cockpit is far too cramped. Also, the photography really needs work, especially when using black bricks. See about some better lighting and a tripod to reduce blur.

Colors are the best, but I like the design and I like the landing pad a lot, great work!

I'm with Jinj. It really isn't the best. The fins could be improved, you could've replaced those long black slopes with some interesting angles... Something like Cole Blaq? The cockpit is nice, I like the SNOT, but again, it can be improved with some more interesting angles or greebles. Just my thoughts...
Re: Rook's Barracuda (September GBuild Entry)
WOW! This is just simply awesome! I love the way you combined the neon green with the black!
Re: Rook's Barracuda (September GBuild Entry)
When you hold it up to a lot of your prior creations, it really isn't as impressive as you'd think it would be. The flip out thrusters are nifty, the shape is okay, but it's not eliciting a "WOW" from me this time. Just a slow, steady applause.
Still epic, but not as epic as it normally is from you . Probably because most of your elements are in the Venator construction .

QFT.
Rook, your the best ship builder on this site, and I know that it could really help you to take better pictures with better backgrounds.

DY, don't you mean QRF?
And I totally agree here, WHITE BALANCE PLEASE.

Another awesome looking ship you've made Rook, it has great detail for a smaller ship, I noticed looking at the gallery that there is an area in the cockpit to put your coffee mug.

Re: Rook's Barracuda (September GBuild Entry)
I'm not surprised that many people don't like the ship. It probably isn't my best but the construction is very unique.
The ship looks like this :
<qL7o>
The only thing holding the middle L7 to outsides <q and o>are 4 studs. 1 top rear, 1 top front, 1 bottom rear, and 1 bottom front. And the "Frame Work" if you can even call it that is only 1 stud wide. So yes the look might be crappy, the colors might not be your favorite, and it might not be to my usual level of playability. But this thing was hard to build, and has some extremely clever engineering and design (notice how the hinges for the tail flaps are built into the body).
Yeah you can see it in the far right picture too in the original post.
