Clone Commander Daze
Clone Commander Daze (CC-8888) is the clone commander for my Legion (25th).
Credit to Clone killers for helping me make the torso decals. I also modified his arm decals. I would also like to credit him for making the original leg and helmet decals, but in the end I did not use them as I made my own leg decals and helmet decals. Thanks Ck!
If these are bad pics or you would like to see more, just ask me, and I will post some more pics.
Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoyed it!

Re: Clone Commander Daze
So that's why you need helmet decal's for shiv. The modified arm decal's give me a great idea Troopa. and the helmet look's fanatic.
So keep up with the good work.

Re: Clone Commander Daze
Thanks Ck. Actually, I was originally planning to use the helmet decals that you originally made for me and then requested a Mag or Shiv decal because I was making snowtroopers. However, as I was about to print the decals, I came up with an idea for using Shiv's decals but in orange. By the way, Shiv's decal have actually been flipped over (The one that's on the right is actually supposed to be on the left for Shiv and vice versa).
Re: Clone Commander Daze
I like them, some might say that the decals aren't good quality in terms of how their printed. But I think they look worn, like all experienced clones should. And yes, I'd love to see better pictures.
Re: Clone Commander Daze
I really like the color of the armor. The pictures are pretty good.

Re: Clone Commander Daze
It looks very good, I like the colour of orange brown you picked. My only problem is that it doesn't quite look entirely sealed, and the decals are a really blotchy, do you know why that happened?

The picture was taken before I sealed it, so that may be why it's not that shiny. The decals aren't blotchy in real life, they look perfect. It must have been my camera which made the picture look so blotchy.

I'm pretty sure the decals are blotchy is real life; my ones are like that as well. Apparently, it's because the decal paper isn't exactly the highest quality.

Re: Clone Commander Daze
Actually I don't think it's because of your quality. I once got a blotchy set of printed decals. It just depends on how it prints. You win some, you loose some.
Re: Clone Commander Daze
Aye, but I used and did the exact same thing with other figs and you've seen how they look. The decals look exactly the same as those ones. Same stuff too.
Re: Clone Commander Daze
I've printed many sets of decals, and they've turned out more or less like Troopa Daisy's. I asked the guys at Fine Clonier's about it awhile ago, and I think it was MMCB that said it was due to the decal paper quality.

Re: Clone Commander Daze
I think this clone came out great! I love doing really intricate designs on the helmets, and I have a few of my own like this.

I don't think its paper quality. I think its the printer. If you change the DPI(dots per inch) you'll get crisper decals and they'll look less blotchy.

Welcome to the topic!Captain Brick said: Awesome! But the decal at the back of the helmet is a little blotchy
Really cool clone Troopa, that should be your legion commander!
BTW, I'm trying to get better at decals, what sealant do you use? (both before and after application)

Re: Clone Commander Daze
That is my Legion commander.
For the sealant, I just used a varnish (think it was Kamar Varnish) that I just happened to have. I was too lazy to go buy a better one. Found out that it works great though.

Re: Clone Commander Daze
Brush-on or spray?
Well my own insault applies to me:

Re: Clone Commander Daze
Spray. Brush is okay when you're applying it to the decals, but when you're applying it to a figure which has decals applied to it, it's pretty bad because sometimes it moves the decals.
Re: Clone Commander Daze
Awesome clone Troopa Daisy .
Would you mind posting those decals? I would really appreciate it if you did.
Thanks

Re: Clone Commander Daze
Here's the modded one I used. Please give credit that the design of the helmet was made by me though (Troopa D).
Note that those were some pieces used, but I cut out some pieces of my own design.
