Passing Through The Forests Of Corulag...
Here the 602nd Airborne troopers are making their way to their RV point. While they navigate through the forest they pass by a 602nd anti-air outpost. I just thought I'd post this since it was one of my better vig's.
I hope you like it!
C&C are always highly appreciated!

I like the trees. That turret is awesome too. I also like how the trooper is leaning down like "Whaaa-?"

That standard infantry trooper looking down is just saying hi.
Re: Passing Through The Forests Of Corulag...
It's a cool vignette, but I have to nitpick about the sandbag barrier and barbed wire. It just doesn't fit the scene.

Yeah I know. The ground is kind of weird, their is a random slope and the guys look like they're floating on the mossy thing.CloneCommandoXion wrote:gama568 wrote:I like the trees. That turret is awesome too. I also like how the trooper is leaning down like "Whaaa-?"

Why not? I mean wouldn't sand bags work against lasers? They could take the heat.

'Cause it's more WWII-esque than Star Wars. You'd think they'd have something of higher caliber than bags of sand and wire...
I do like the streetlight quite a bit, and the anti-air cannon looks impressive. I like the split cylinders.

Then what would they have? So I know for future reference.

Some kind of portable metal barricade, I'd imagine. Or crates and such.

That's a nice little outpost you got there Xion. I think the light kinda looks like a space heater but its still a nice design.
I'm really digging those airborne troopers, would you mind posting the decal?

They are many great techniques used in this. I like it a lot. The turret, street light, tress, and more are excellent. But I to would like to know what would be best, instead of sand bags and what not.

I'l have to go with the metal barricades. The outpost has a huge laser cannon, so I imagine building a small protective building would also be possible.

I agree with the others, what's the barbed wire going to do? Scratch off some paint?
But the top bit is very well done, just add a metal barricade and it'll be perfect. I'm not too sure about the rocks or bottom bit though... The rocks would look better if you did what DY does rather than adding a BURP. The trees look good be the rest of the ground looks too bare, maybe add some mud, rocks, plants or just do what PhiMa does and put grass everywhere.

But it's kinda cool, it gives the build a military feeling, without that it would look like countless Endor MOCs that have been built.Tac wrote:I agree with the others, what's the barbed wire going to do? Scratch off some paint?

The turret and sandbags are nice, I just don't like the use of the BURPs.
Re: Passing Through The Forests Of Corulag...
Hey Xion, where did you get those really awesome airborne trooper helemets?? I need some for some airborne troopers for my not yet posted legion. Good job on that anti- air cannon, it looks beast, the barbed wire looks a little out of place, and the sandbags, but you could paint the barbed wire red and call it laser wire, and the sandbags could be a metal redoubt instead.

That's a really interesting MOC. I really like how you made the trees. Very Creative!

I love that Turret! Mind if I use it? I won't post pics,(because my laptop isn't compatible with my cameras), but I want to use the design.

Inverted trees are great. Minifigures good as usual. Guns are fabulous the great is lacking.
Re: Passing Through The Forests Of Corulag...
I won't beat a dead horse with saying the barbed wire and sandbags are out of place, but everything else is quite nice. I really enjoy the anti aircraft turret, well built Xion.
Re: Passing Through The Forests Of Corulag...
Well actually I thought of using the barbed wire against a type of CIS militia. Because not all of their soldiers are in uniform. Thanks for all the comments guys, I might be able to do something about the sand bags, I want to keep the barbed wire though...

Very nice! I like the sandbags.
