Illustrator is better than anything else. Believe me, this is a fact.

In the absence of that, Inkscape is probably the best. But Illustrator is the most professional and awesome program, once you get the hang of it. The shading function and all the other features are just mind-blowing.

Ah yes Adobe Illustrator that's is my dream program for decal designing but the cost is the only thing that keeps me from buying.

I was just wondering since CK's decals are exceptionally done. I was wondering if I was missing an ingredient.

In your decals I've noticed you need to get the hang of line width. Keep in mind that the printed decals will only be 2 cm in real life, and look at Lego's decals. Don't be afraid to waste 5 minutes messing with line sizes, that'll give you weeks in the spotlight.

I'm talking to Eclipse, you think I would actually try to tell you how to make better decals?

I might post some Deathwatch Mandalorian decals for all of you guys.

Oh please do! After I saw a Death Watch trooper on Minifigmaker I've been dying to see if I could make one
(but I've never been able to find an actual decal of one ). Do you have a Death Watch trooper with custom
elements yourself. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could post it.

Ok, here it is. The design of it took quite a while. It has almost every detail.

Nice decal, the eagle on the helmet should be yellow though. It is almost perfect. In ways you wouldn't understand I hate it. It is not the decal, it is the Death Watch. I am a true Mandalorian at heart, I guess.

@Clone Killers, I tried to download Inkscape, but I guess it doesn't work on Ubuntu. If you have a version of it that does, just let me know.

I haven't seen any one design decals for Death Watch. So I decided to gave it a go.




These decals were designed for the upcoming Boba Fett helmet as seen in the new slave I.

Odd, I went to google, put in 'inkscape download' clicked search, clicked the first link and then pressed download now in the top right corner.

Took me less than a minute.

It's been a while since I've posted any decals here on the CABG. Anyway, recently I've been finishing up my ODST Squad. I only have to do Rookie, Buck, and Romeo. Almost there...

Sergeant Macaroni, I have a question for your ODST decals, why do they have white armor? It's grey and black. Also, that's not a regular trooper, they're just plain grey and black, blue is Romeo. Yes, I'm a Halo nerd.
