My point is, Dutch, the best way to keep others from using your decals you make, is too not post them anywhere.

What? By using his decals you're not only telling him, you're telling everyone else that it can be done.

And then you get to the point where it's a case of...."I have made a great decal of <<insert character>>, but I'm not going to show you all". So then there is no point in posting anything in this topic.....which leads to why bother having the topic (especially if YOU try and show others how "easy" it is to get rid of the watermark!!!)

This is the EXACT reason why Kaminoan has limited what can be viewed/downloaded on his site.

I wouldn't mind if this thread were deleted, locked, actually. Decals are stolen from it far too often. For example, this person took one of my old decals and posted it on their Flickr account:

I spent two hours hunting down people who used my decals with out giving credit.

This has gotten a bit out of control guys.

It's simple, if you use someone's decal, Give them credit! I think that's all that's need to be said.

That's all that needs to be said, bu not all that needs to be done. Some people don't listen to words.

Using other peoples decals when they don't want you to is stealing and will result in a ban.

^Seriously, you don't have to go around pointing fingers at The Customizer. Nobody's perfect. Maybe T_C used the decals, but you TJ, don't have to repeat things we already know.

I smell another ban for you on the LSWforums. Whenever T_C used Dutch's stuff, most of the time he gave credit.

Yeah, but some of the Images I originally saved as a JPEG and then later saved them as a PNG. So they were a little messed up in the first place. I should have saved them as a PNG in the first place! :d'oh:

A JPEG is the most common type of Image file. PNG is a higher quality type of Image file. If you make a custom clone decal with paint save it as a JPEG then zoom in on it and look at what it did to your image. Then save it as a PNG and look at it then. There is a difference in quality.

The decals are okay.

First, you should probably Vectorize them, and make them more clear, rather then kind of layered-looking. (Like the 187th Trooper)
Second, for your commando, you should use a Commando Template for that, there are a few types on the "Clone Template Index".
Third, when filling in areas the number one mistake is not smoothing out or Vectorizing the areas that were filled, so be sure to do that. If you use GIMP or Paint, use the Paintbrush tool for that.
Fourth, when saving your images as ".jpg" be sure to have them saved at the Highest possible quality, it makes it look much better.

Now, for the decals themselves.
The 187th trooper is rather plain, make it more like the actual thing.
212th Heavy Gunner, since it is a gunner you should probably use the clone gunner torso template, and be sure to use the same color orange every time.
501st trooper, if you are making a 501st Trooper you should make it as it really is, not create your own, you can if you want to, but I would advise making it the way it really is.
Custom Shock, and Airborne troopers, earlier on in the pages of decals there is a Airborne trooper decal, I would suggest changing that one instead of making your own, and the Shock isn't quite the way it really is, I would change it if I were you.
Boss, when making decals of a specific person get as many pictures of that person, and from different angles, this way he is much more accurate when you design him. The decal you have for him is missing quite a bit, so look him up on Wookieepedia, or Google Images.

Okay, I think that is it for now, you are on your way to making great decals!

Well, I did Vectonize (or whatever you said) it's just when I save it as a JPEG it distorts it for some strange reason.
Also I made the smaller decals before I knew about this site. So I didn't have the templates. The Commando Boss I made before I found any of the Templates. On that note, I'll try that! Also (I have said that word too much) they are, after all, "Custom" Decals.
