The CABG Gazette
Greetings, new members!
The CABG Gazette has been, since the collapse of CABG News, the only news outlet on the Clone Army Builder's Guild. Previously, me and the rest of the Gazette team haven't published our paper outside of the Guild member's area, but recently I decided to change that.
To that end, here is a reduced version of the CABG Gazette for non-guild members. For those wishing to see the full version, with editorials, letters and analysis, it is published once a fortnight in the Guild member's area. See you there!
Here is, also, the Declaration of Principles by the editor of the CABG Gazette (me):
My Declaration of Principles
I. I pledge to deliver to the Clone Army Builder’s Guild and its members a comprehensive account of all goings-on and important announcements that occur on our little forum, and also of those events which affect it.
II. I also pledge that all of the reporting for the CABG Gazette shall be the truth, without exaggeration of its importance or embellishment of that truth.
III. I pledge, in addition, that we shall be the organ of no political viewpoint or moderator in any sense. No special interests are to be allowed to interfere with the truth.
IV. We shall pursue no agenda against any member or person, nor cover unimportant events such as Internet Drama, unless these events impact directly on the forum.
V. We shall also keep an upbeat tone. We cannot promise to always report good news, but when we do, it shall be in the most prominent columns.
VI. Finally, I and all of my fellow journalists shall stick to the above declaration, and not diverge from it.
Signed,
Elliot Folan

These Olympics sound really good. I can't wait!
It is also good that you've got the Gazette going again CG.

Re: The CABG Gazette
Are you always going to post the declaration on the gazette? Or is this just for the non-guildies to know it as well?
Also I am very excited about the CABGO... a little intimidated but looking forward to see some brilliant mocs.

Re: The CABG Gazette
I always thought that we should show the Gazette articles to non guildies too, as that way they can see more of what happens in the guild and would want to try harder to get in and become more interactive with the rest of us.
Great idea CG!

This is just for the non-guildies to know it as well. It's only in the first post, I won't post it anymore.

We've had it going for months now, actually, but I haven't posted it outside of the GMA as yet.
Re: The CABG Gazette
Great idea publishing a condensed version of the Gazette for all the Non-Gm's to enjoy!
Re: The CABG Gazette
Yes, thanks for giving us regular members a chance to read part of the Gazette! That's very kind of you to do that.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to publish it everytime or to have a link to ethos on every issue as a reminder of the quality of news the team wants to produce and not lose sight of it.

I agree. It is nice that you let us regular members read a part of the Gazette.

Ya! Non-guildies can enter!! I actually have an idea, if a non-guildie wins a 'metal' they should be allowed to become a guild member automatically! ( Think about it.)

Well you WILL be mocing... and in a competition like this I am sure your MOCs will need to be their best... so its a possibility. But that would be for council to decide.
Re: The CABG Gazette
Interesting...I like the concept of having different teams, preferably with a mix of Guildies and non-Guildies.

I think that we should be able to pick them! Anyway, I'm with eclipsegrafx, I call knight and him!

I think...names drawn from a hat would be fairest. Or rather two hats; one for Guildies, one for non-Guildies.

I don't know how it has been done before but multiple categories of building would seem like a good idea. Like vignettes, vehicles, mini-scale, etc.

Maybe your team should be your friends, then everyone can make a moc to enter, and the individual team can pick the best mocs to represent them in the competition.

No exact details as of yet as regards time. All we can gather is sometime in late spring or early summer.
