Ork Stompa WIP

I needed something to battle my mecha.













I've always wanted an ork stompa, but I'm crap at painting. So far I've made the head, neck and shoulders. The body's going to be tough, but I've got a few ideas...

What mine's based on.

That is going to be hard, but I'm sure you can make it. So far so good, I like how you nailed the head having a 'face' to it.

Is the head going to have horns like the reference pic?

Nope. The head is finished, unless there's something lots of people hate about it.

Really nice, maybe add more guns to it?

Dakka! I plan to get the overall shape done first, then srart adding more details.

Then perhaps bulk up the sides a bit more?

Maybe look at Games Workshop's website for inspiration.

Oh hell yes Tac. Will this be a mecha? An ork mecha has never been done before, this is madness! I say looking good so far, 'cept lose the shield/banner thing behind the head and relocate it to where that antenna is.

This reminds me of an ork watchamacallit thing from Warhammer40,000. Anyways, looks good, and try to make it a [ bit uneven, to give it that orky scrapmech feel.

Oops, didn't see that.......I was too busy staring at the awsomeness of this thingymablorber. By the way, Tac, why have you developed a recent obsession over orks?

Like Revo suggested I moved the banner, without the banner the head looked a bit bare so I added some horns.

I like it more now... I can see the "head" more clearly.

Nice job TAC! Finish this one though.

It looks great, but it is not some thing I would have battleing a mech.

Yay much better! I'm still waiting for this thing to be finished to release my full commentary, but I really like the spikes on the shoulders and the back of the head.

I can't wait for the finished piece. This is for a contest on flickr isn't it? Did you have to take your other WIP mecha apart for this?

@B.Y.O.B: He said he needed something to battle his mech, so he probably didn't take it apart.

As for the Moc... It looks awesome so far. Can't wait to see the finished product.
