Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
Made him last week but decided to start updating you guys with my minifig creations.
No real back story (I am no good at those) but if any of you writers wants to take a stab at it.
Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
Woah! You did a great job on him! Lovin' the clean cut out visor!
Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
Already saw this on Flickr but didn't comment.
To be honest, I'm sorry, but I didn't really like this. The body and armor and torso and everything is okay, but the helmet is kind of a meh to me. The clone trooper helmet is just missing something, and I don't like the use of that orange head. Maybe blue would be better.

How did you get that visor cut out? It is brilliant but the visor is confusing me.

Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
While many clones where off fighting on the front lines, there was a different kind of war on Seperatist homeworlds. Shadow Clone Commandos where created to 'take care of' main Seperatist Leaders. Often with impossible odds of mission success. These clones where highly trained and could blend into almost any environment. After the Clone Wars ended, they where put in charge of training Shadow Troopers.
^How's that for a backstory.
Great fig, I love the colored helmet, but I'm not a big fan of the punched out visor. Also did you paint the helmet or just sharpie it?

Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
I do like the metallic paint, but I'm not feeling the rest of this one eclipse. It doesn't look much like a clone commando, let alone a shadow one. Also, what's with the Halo gun?
Try a little harder next time. I'm being little more critical on this one because it's a clone trooper, and I specialize in those.

Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
The WEAPONS SPECIALIST SHADOW CLONE COMMANDO was an elite member of the Grand Army of the Republic. They were trained to be able to perform in various environments without difficulty. They were used in the Clone Wars as spies. Though they were masters of the weapons they carried (DC-18s modified), they were also great at unseen movement in both vehicles and on the ground. They were used in many battles though the greatest was in the battle of Mygeeto serving as an "ace in the deck" against the Separatists. Their operations were mostly at nighttime or in dimly lit areas. They worked in squads of 6. There were only 4 squads of these Commandos so they were used in as few battles as they could as it took much longer to clone and train them.
What do you think? ^
I really like this fig and I was wondering when you were going to post it here as I saw it on Flickr awhile back.

Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
I think the helmet needs some sort of design, but I like it either way. Nice job.
Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
that is one of the best custom clones i've ever seen! I like the use of the halo gun too.

Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
Nice work but I think the visor should be blue. I really like the forearm plates are quite nice but I think the helmet and armour should be a bit darker because if they had glittery armour they could easily be spotted if a small light shone on them. It still is a very good minifigure, keep it up.

Re: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
Overall i think it's abit much, on the clone helmet it looks too robotic and it isint rilly black. Next on a clone commando you dont want to be spotted in enamy tarratory,, so it woldent be shinny. For the gun it would be better if you gave him a DC-17m, or at least a space magnum pistol from the same company you boght the origanal from. Now for the armor, ushaly the clone has Katarn-class commando armor, or as Night ops armor or{Night Ops armor was typically painted black, and featured a special stealth alloy that shielded the armor against sensors and made the wearer almost invisible to the naked eye. } from wookieepidia. On the visor it is or should be the same stile as all clone visor's but its ushaly a diffrent cooler or shade. But for a wepons speshalist he wold halve a hevy gun and a good shield, but from my understandings you did a good job.

You did a good job at it, but how did you make the helmet?

I think he just shaved the fin off a normal clone troopers head, painted it and then cut out a slot for the visor. This I just what I think he did, if I'm wrong then oops.

This looks quite good but whenever I look at it it reminds me of a Enclave Solider.

RE: Weapons Specialist Shadow Clone Commando
During the Clone Wars Jedi Genrals needed an elite squad of "Take no prisoners"mentallity so they made the Shadow Clone commandos. They blast there way through droid defences and KILL! all separitist Genrals leaving nothing but a smoldering carcass in a heap of rubble.
