CABGOII Phase III Entry: TIE Hunter
TIE Hunter
The TIE Hunter was a starfighter from the TIE series used during the Galactic Civil War by the Galactic Empire. The TIE Hunter was used exclusively by storm commandos, and as a result it was rarely seen and was something of an enigma.***
Its wing configuration was roughly the reverse of a TIE/In starfighter. Similar to the T-65 X-wing starfighter, the TIE Hunter possessed S-foils, which meant that they would open in attack mode and close in normal flight. Unlike most other contemporary TIEs of the time, TIE Hunters were equipped with a hyperdrive, making them more valuable than most starfighters the Galactic Empire utilized. They also had shield generators, enabling them to take more damage in combat. They were equipped with a weapon load-out identical to that of the BTL Y-wing starfighter; two twin laser cannons, two ion cannons, and two proton torpedo launchers.***

Notes:
I'll be honest. I don't like it. This category was the hardest for me because I couldn't think of anything to build until about three days ago. I've been very busy lately too, and I'm not very good at building spaceships period. I changed this entry two other times because I was running out of time too. But despite that, leaving some constructive would be great. I'd really like to get better.
Thanks,

Re: CABGOII Phase III Entry: TIE Hunter
The pictures are a bit grainy. I think it needs more SNOT. Other than that, it's great! Maybe the part attaching the wings to the center could be shorter.

I like the wings, they're pretty accurate.
But I guess you should start improving this by:
1. Bringing in all the wings two of three studs.
2. Making the cockpit more round-ish. It's too much of a block compared to the real thing or even TLC's TIE Fighters.
Other than that, it's pretty good!

Actually, now that I look at it, the wings are as far out as the reference. Maybe completing the diagonal in grey on the wings?

When I first looked at this, I thought it looked too skinny and weird, then I looked at the reference pic, and now I know why. Great job on being so accurate.

Re: CABGOII Phase III Entry: TIE Hunter
Connections between the wings and the cockpit need some SNOT. Cockpit looks like that of a standard TIE. Okay build, IMO.
Re: CABGOII Phase III Entry: TIE Hunter
The wings connection to the cockpit needs some work, looks reely thin!

I don't see your name on the entries list for the CABG Olympics.
Interesting MOC though, very skinny, just like the real thing I suppose.
I'd lose the old dark grey on the connectors between the 'wings' and the cockpit, though, and have it all in one type.
