Three Test Videos *Update 2*
I've learned that I cannot prevent light flicker unless I film during the night, boy is that annoying. :d'oh:
Filmed At Night
Filmed During The Day.
I think the difference is quite clear.

If this is caused by outside lighting, try keeping the blinds closed, or film away from the window completely.

Well my blinds aren't the most...efficient so that's not really a option.

Thank you for all the comments, here is another video I made today. I realize it it pretty bad picture quality/sound/animation/sync/everything but I had fun making it and thats all that counts.

The lighting is all, not everything.
Great job so far Darman, I can just see you doing films on a regular period.

The reason it is slow is because it is completely made in WMM, I got tired of Monkey Jam crashing all the time.

Well it has been 24 hours or at least close enough and I have another video with 2 others coming your way.
This is the first video of 5 masking tests, it was made completely in GIMP.

It's excelent. IMO better than some of Garet6's early stuff, as far as FPS goes.

Thanks for the compliment, the reason he FPS is better is because I switched back to Monkey Jam.

Re: Three Test Videos *Update 2*
I actually do not use a tripod, I build around my camera to keep it secure to the set. Its cheap and it is quite effective, it is also much more stable then a tripod so it is a great substitute. Oh and the light flicker is fixed, it is my camera but when I switch to a certain setting it is considerably lessened.

What program are you using to animate? WMM? If it's WMM, what process are you using to shrink the pics?

Aw yes, the wonders of Monkey Jam. I was just wondering because I saw the WMM title. Keep working at 'em, it's looking good!

Thank you. Oh and I have a quick question for any of you who can possible answer this, I use a Canon PowerShot A570 IS to take the pictures for the animation. Someone said that the reason it sometimes turns the frame yellow is because I have not turned of a Auto Adjust setting, I cannot find it so I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to turn it off.

Re: Three Test Videos *Update 2*
The manual is long gone, though I suppose I could find the PDF file on there website. Thanks for using common sense when I apparently can not. :d'oh:

No, no. Not the manual, the manaul mode on the camera. It should have one. I use an canon a460 and it has one.

It's also called "program mode" on my camera.

Re: Three Test Videos *Update 2*
He's using a canon, so it should still be manual mode. On the mode dial, it'll probably be the little camera with the "M" next to it.
