Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
Yes! Very Swooshable indeed! I love the use of those cabnet doors in the back.

Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
Well... It doesn't seem like you Rook. Don't get me wrong, I really like this, but in almost everything you do there's either; playability, advanced building style, but usually both. Here is just, a speeder, with not very techniques used other then the sides of this (Which are SNOt yes? I'm having a brain fart right now.).
But I do like it.
But I do like it.

Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
I love the cockpit! Do you think you can do a step by step on how you make cockpits? I have trouble making those.
I just don't like the exposed studs from the plate that the flag connector pieces are attached to but I don't think much can be done about those if those long connector/gun things are used.

Playability: Make 20 of these and tell me it's not playable.
Advanced building style: It's there.
Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
The use of the doors is really good! I also like the SNOT techniques used .
Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
Welcome back to the mini MOCing world.
I am liking the body of this. My only thing is if you really wanted to make this look like a swamp hover craft, then might I suggest more bigger propellers.

Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
Yeah I was limited by the space it needed to fit into one spot on the cruiser.
Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
Maybe, because I really dig this fighter.

Update: In response to "Why's" Advance Building Techniques comment.
1. Using unique pieces for ways other then what they were designed for.
..A. Using trash cans as engines.
..B. Using doors as tail fins/foils.
..C. Using guns pieces as tail shafts.
2. Building a ship to land on an angle.
3. Building an angled cockpit without gaps.
4. Using SNOT techniques on dorsal engine piece.
5. Angled discs on sides of ship.
6. Creating pin striping with vertically placed plates in the hull of the ship.
7. Not using decals the way TLG assigned them to set.
PS: Once you're good enough to get into the Guild, feel free to give me feedback on "advanced building techniques".

Nonononono... That's not what I meant. I mean like, you either build really huge things and the small things are a lot more advanced than this... This is like, the lower advanced skills for you. My wording may have seemed weird in my original post though, I hadn't gotten enough sleep... or any for that matter.

Re: Rook Rhyder's Swamp Fighter
Ah yeah it was f'd up a little. Too many rum and cokes at happy hour. Yeah I think you meant to say that it was very basic coming from someone that does "less basic" stuff. But even for a “basic” build it had a lot of hidden things on it. But remember this is just one of the support craft for the Legends of Fall Project, and the best one at that personally.
Re: Swamp Fighter
This is very detailed for its smaller size. Great use of the doors and the trashcans. Too bad lego doesn't make camo pieces, that would make it look more suited for swamps.
