Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
And now for a flimsy Backstory!
'Requiem for Hope' was built as the final carrier shuttle to transport Humanity's last hope to the stars. After the recent realization of the fact that Earth was going to be destroyed (At least moreso than it had been, at that point), the surviving members went forth and created Requiem as their final solution to continuing the hope of the survival of the Human Race. The goal of the 'Requiem' project was simple: Find a secondary planet suitable for life and Spread Humanity's reach 'To the Stars'.
Inspired by MUSE's 'Exogenesis Symphony' and Peter Morris.
So, please, C&C is very much so appreciated.

Re: Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
I really like the nose and cockpit- the greebling is fantastic. The wings seem a little chubby though, and I think if you elongated them about 4 studs outwards they'd be in proportion with the rest of the ship. I like the SNOT on the SNOT wings, very nice touch.
Re: Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
Cockpit is freakin fantastic, love the way you framed the canopy in. Dig pretty much the whole thing and feel Peter's influence.
The only thing that bothers me is the 1x2 dk bley slopes on the wing with the cheese on top. IMO it just seems to interupt the flow of the wing.

Aye, I definitely see where you're coming from. That was mostly used to fill the gap (I used a technic 1x1 with pin hole there for the bottom landing gear). But I figure now I can remove it and have it be either a small vent or cap it off with a 1x1 stud.
@GTee: The wings are already about 5 studs long, any longer they'd probably sag. Plus, I like the shorter-wing approach to this, myself.
Re: Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
I see what you mean. On the note of the 1x2 slope and cheese, I think you could use the 1x1 bricks with the studs built on the sides, like the ones used in the guns on the new Slave I.
Re: Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
This ship really caught my eye, I love the rugged look to it.
I agree with the said comments about the slopes on the wings though. And yes, finding the pieces your looking for is half the battle.

Aye, the slopes on the wings are gone and I made a few cosmetic changes, I'll update the picture shortly
Re: Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
Great job on this ship I just think the wings would look better if they were completely smooth (nothing on top) and instead of having a large block have it angle out so the wing tip edge has a smaller width than the part closer to the body.
Re: Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
IMO switch out your 1x1 technic brick for one of these and put a 1x2 or 1x3 tile on top for some colour.

Aye, that's actually a great idea.
What color do you think you'd suggest for this?
Re: Requiem for Hope *UPDATED*
Either something that pops like red maybe white. Or go the opposite route with the bleys and have it blend in.

Very smexy! The wings look a little flimsy to me... I love the engines though!

Yummeh greebles. I like the overall design of the ship. It kinda reminds me of a bird or a starfighter from Star Fox.

Oh yeah! Thats freakin hot. The red totally pops and the 2x2 tile angled on the wing makes for easy but excellent markings. Bravo!

Yum. The greebs give it a bit of a organic feel, like a squad sort of thing, and the front looks a bit like a face. I dig it.
